A campaign is a group of contacts going through a sequence, sent from one or more of your LinkedIn profiles.
Where to find it: sidebar → Outbound → Campaigns.
Create a campaign
Click New Campaign. The wizard has five steps:
Type and name.
- Outbound sends connection requests to new prospects.
- Existing Connections messages people you're already connected to. Use a sequence that starts with a message: invite steps are skipped automatically.
The name is internal only. Recipients never see it.
Sequence. Pick one, or click New sequence to start from a template or write one with AI.
Send from. Only shown if you've turned on multiple LinkedIn accounts. Pick one or more profiles, and contacts are shared between them in turn.
Contacts. Pick contacts by source, signal or import batch, or import from a LinkedIn search URL. This step is optional: you can add contacts after launch.
Review and launch. Click Create campaign.
The campaign is saved as a draft. Nothing sends until you turn it on.
To let AI do the setup, use Agent Campaign instead. See AI-built campaigns.
Start, pause and stop
Each campaign card has an on/off switch. Turn it on to start sending. Turn it off to pause everyone, and back on to resume where each person left off. The switch is disabled until a campaign has contacts.
From the … menu you can View details, Archive (moves it to the Archived section; Restore brings it back) or Delete. Deleting a campaign removes its enrolments but keeps the contacts.
One campaign per person
A contact can only be active in one campaign at a time. If you add someone who's already in another active or paused campaign, or already in this sequence, they're skipped and Ghost tells you how many.
Campaign detail
Click a campaign to see:
- Totals: total, not started, in progress, completed, replied and failed.
- Email warnings: whether a mailbox is connected and how many contacts are missing a work email. Find missing emails looks them up (1 credit per email found).
- Sending from: which LinkedIn profiles send. Click Edit senders to change them.
- Sequence in use: click Change sequence to switch.
- Contacts: click Add Contacts to add more. Pause, resume or remove anyone individually.
Progress and stats
The campaign card shows progress as Not started → Invite sent → In sequence → Complete → Replied, with invites sent, accepted, acceptance rate and failures. Email-only campaigns show emails sent, replies and reply rate.
For more detail, use the Activity and Analytics tabs. Where replies come from credits each reply to the last thing you sent before it arrived: the invite, or message 1, 2 or 3+.
Stalled campaigns
If a campaign is switched on and still has people waiting, but nothing has moved for 48 hours, it shows Stalled · Fix. Click it and Ghost diagnoses and repairs what it can, such as a disconnected profile or an exhausted contact list, and tells you anything you need to sort out.
