The 5-Second
Positioning Test

Enter your website. We'll tell you what a buyer thinks you do after five seconds, where your copy is vague, who you sound like, and give you sharper lines to use on your homepage and in outbound.

How it works

What great B2B positioning does

Names the category in plain words

Buyers need to know what kind of thing you are before they care how good it is. "AI-powered growth platform" is not a category; "LinkedIn outreach tool for agencies" is.

Picks a specific buyer

Copy written for everyone convinces no one. The best homepages make the right buyer feel spoken to and let the wrong one leave.

Says why you, not the alternative

Every buyer has an alternative, even if it is a spreadsheet or doing nothing. Strong positioning names it and explains what is different.

Backs it up with proof

Numbers, named customers and concrete outcomes turn claims into evidence. If you cannot prove a claim, it is probably too vague.

FAQ

What is the 5-second test?

A classic usability test: show someone a page for five seconds, then ask what the company does. If they cannot answer, the positioning is not doing its job. This tool simulates that buyer and explains the gap.

How is the positioning score calculated?

Claude (an AI model from Anthropic) scores your site on clarity, specificity, differentiation, audience fit and proof, quoting your actual copy. The overall score is deliberately strict: above 80 is rare.

Can I use the one-liners in my outreach?

Yes. The tool also writes two cold outreach openers using your sharpened positioning. Test them against your current messaging and keep whichever books more meetings.

Why does it matter for outbound?

When a prospect gets your message, they check your LinkedIn profile and website. If the site does not make sense in seconds, a good message still loses the meeting.

Sharper positioning,
more meetings.

Ghost writes LinkedIn posts and outbound sequences in your voice, built around the message that works.
