Why multi-channel

Single-channel outbound is
slowly dying

LinkedIn-only hits a ceiling: some prospects barely check it. Email-only hits a deliverability wall and a context gap — a cold email from a stranger still feels like a cold email. Pairing the two is how modern GTM teams get past both walls: a warm LinkedIn touch builds recognition, an email lands the detail, and a well-timed DM closes the loop.

Inside multi-channel

Built the way you'd actually
want to sell

01

One sequence, two channels

Drag-and-drop LinkedIn touches and email steps into the same flow. Connection requests, DMs, InMails, and emails — in any order, with any delay.

02

Gmail and Outlook, native

Connect your inbox in Outbound → Settings in under a minute. OAuth. No SMTP gymnastics. No separate sender tool.

03

Unified reply inbox

Every reply — LinkedIn DM, email, or InMail — lands in one Ghost inbox. Conversation history threaded across channels, sorted by intent score.

04

Claude-powered sequence writing

Draft any step in your voice with a single brief. Use “rewrite all” to rework the entire sequence, or “refine this step” with specific feedback. Works across LinkedIn and email alike.

05

Auto-pause on reply, any channel

When a prospect replies on LinkedIn, Ghost stops the email track too. No double-messaging. No awkward “following up on my email” moments.

06

Deliverability baked in

Warm-up integration, SPF/DKIM/DMARC checks, send-rate throttling, and day/time windows per campaign. Send like a human, not a spam cannon.

Example

What a real sequence
looks like

Day 0
LinkedIn

Connection request

Short, personalised note referencing a signal (their post, a shared connection, or a competitor engagement).

Day 2
Email

Warm intro email

Expands on the LinkedIn note with one specific value prop. Claude writes in your voice using the same signal as context.

Day 5
LinkedIn

DM follow-up

Lightweight check-in — references the email but without the “did you get my email” cliché. If connected, Ghost sends a DM; if not, an InMail.

Day 9
Email

Break-up email

Low-pressure close. Frames the value on their terms and invites a reply only if relevant. Auto-pauses on any reply across channels.

FAQ

Common
questions

How does LinkedIn + email in one sequence actually work?

You build a sequence in Ghost’s sequence builder just like normal, but each step has a channel — LinkedIn connection request, LinkedIn DM, email, or InMail. Ghost handles scheduling and deliverability per channel, so a sequence might open with a LinkedIn request, wait 2 days, follow up with an email, then a LinkedIn DM if there’s no reply.

What mailboxes are supported?

Gmail and Outlook are supported natively via OAuth. Custom SMTP and Google Workspace sub-accounts work for teams. Connect in Outbound → Settings.

Do I need a separate sending warm-up tool?

No — Ghost includes mailbox warm-up and deliverability monitoring. Send-rate throttling and day/time windows are per-mailbox. For very large teams, you can connect multiple mailboxes and rotate.

Is this an Outreach / Salesloft / Instantly alternative?

For most LinkedIn + email outbound use cases, yes — at a fraction of the cost and with LinkedIn as a first-class channel instead of a bolt-on. Large enterprise RevOps teams with heavy custom reporting needs may still prefer Outreach; everyone else gets more from Ghost.

Can I still do LinkedIn-only sequences if I want?

Absolutely. Not connecting an email mailbox just means every step is a LinkedIn touch. You get the same intent signals, same unified inbox, same Claude-powered writing.
