How it works

How to use your pipeline maths

Start with your real numbers

The defaults are typical B2B benchmarks. Replace them with your last two quarters of data for a plan you can actually hold yourself to.

Fix the weakest stage first

Small gains at the top of the funnel compound. A low reply rate usually means the targeting or the message is off, not that you need more volume.

Plan for your sales cycle

Meetings booked this week close a sales cycle from now. If your cycle is three months, this quarter's revenue depends on last quarter's activity.

Make the activity sustainable

If the weekly hours are more than you can give, automate the research and outreach rather than cutting volume and missing the number.

FAQ

How does the pipeline calculator work?

It divides your revenue target by your average deal size to get the deals you need, then works back up the funnel using each conversion rate: win rate, meeting-to-opportunity, positive reply-to-meeting, positive reply share and reply rate.

What is a good cold outreach reply rate?

For well-targeted B2B outreach, 5 to 10% is typical and above 15% is excellent. LinkedIn messages to warm connections usually outperform cold email.

Why does it assume 48 working weeks a year?

Holidays, conferences and quiet periods mean most teams prospect for around 48 weeks a year (12 per quarter). It keeps the weekly plan realistic.

What counts as a touch?

Any single outreach action: a connection request, a LinkedIn message, an email, a follow-up or a call. Most effective sequences use 4 to 8 touches across channels.
