For three years, the most common feature request from Ghost users has been some version of this:
"Can I just search for contacts inside Ghost? Without bouncing to Apollo?"
As of this week: yes. Find People is live in every Ghost plan, with a 600-million-contact B2B lead database and verified business email enrichment built in. Here's why we built it, what it replaces, and what actually makes it different from every other lead database on the market.
The problem we were watching customers hit
A typical Ghost customer's outbound workflow, a month ago, looked like this:
- Pay $150/month for Sales Navigator.
- Pay $99/month for Apollo (or $800/year for ZoomInfo if enterprise).
- Pay for a third-party enrichment layer when emails came back blank.
- Export to CSV.
- Clean the CSV in a spreadsheet (the fun part).
- Import into Ghost, hope the format matches, fix whatever broke.
- Finally start the campaign.
Every step was a leak. Data got stale between export and import. Emails bounced because enrichment was 6 months old. ICP filters didn't match between Sales Nav and Ghost. Half the intent signals were lost in translation.
The whole thing was costing most teams $250–400/month before Ghost, and adding 30–60 minutes to every campaign launch.
We fixed it by absorbing the stack.
What's in the database
Find People covers 600 million professional contacts, sourced from licensed B2B data partners and refreshed continuously. For each contact, you get:
- Full name, title, seniority, department
- Current company, industry, size, location, funding stage
- Technology stack (where available)
- Location down to city level
- LinkedIn profile URL
- Verified business email where one exists
Email coverage varies by geography and seniority. For senior B2B roles in North America and Western Europe, we see verified coverage in the 60–80% range. For everyone else, you still get the contact for LinkedIn outbound — which is often more useful anyway.
The filters you actually need
Find People has every filter you'd expect from a lead database:
- Title, seniority, department — broad or exact
- Company name, size, industry, funding, HQ location
- Contact location (new — see lead location filters below)
- Tech stack ("uses HubSpot," "uses Stripe," etc.)
- Keyword search across bio and headline
The preview count updates live as you refine. No hunting through 12 tabs to find the one useful filter — every filter that moves the count sits on one screen.
The part that makes it different: intent on top
Every lead database on the market will give you a list of VPs of Sales in SaaS companies over 50 employees in North America. Apollo, ZoomInfo, Cognism, RocketReach, UpLead — same list, different pricing.
Here's what they can't do: tell you which of those people are actually in the market right now.
Ghost can. Because Find People is layered on top of the intent engine.
When you run a search, every contact in the result set is scored against your live intent signals:
- Did they engage with your LinkedIn content?
- Did they engage with a competitor's?
- Are they showing activity patterns that correlate with buying?
- Has their company just raised, hired a new VP, or posted a relevant job?
The database is the same list anyone else could give you. The ranking is ours — and it's the difference between working 600 people and working the 40 who are actually warm today.
One-click to campaign (the real unlock)
The biggest workflow change isn't the search — it's what happens after.
In every other stack, "search complete" means "now start the export / clean / import dance." In Ghost, search complete means the campaign is one click away.
Select contacts. Click Add to Campaign. Pick a LinkedIn, email, or multi-channel sequence. Done. Firmographics, email addresses, and intent scores are all attached automatically. The sequence writer (Claude) can reference the ICP + signal context immediately.
Time from "I want to reach VPs of Sales at Series B SaaS companies who engaged with our last three posts" to sequence ready to launch: under 90 seconds. We've timed it.
What it replaces, what it doesn't
Let's be fair.
Find People replaces, for most teams:
- Apollo
- Sales Navigator (for list-building — the InMail credits are a separate conversation)
- ZoomInfo (for most use cases below enterprise)
- Cognism, Lusha, UpLead, RocketReach
- Your standalone enrichment layer
It doesn't fully replace:
- Clay, if you have advanced multi-source enrichment workflows
- ZoomInfo, if you need very specific compliance features or deep org charts
- The human research some enterprise ABM teams still want to do by hand
But for 90% of the B2B teams we work with, Find People does the job — and it's included in the $99/month plan. No credits. No seats. No waterfall billing.
How to try it
Find People is live right now in every Ghost workspace. Open Outbound → Find People, try a filter, see the results. Add to a campaign. Feel the speed.
If you're not a Ghost user yet, start a 7-day free trial — you'll get access to the full 600M database from day one.
And if you've been paying for Apollo for three years, today's a good day to cancel.
