Here is what it does, how the pieces fit together, and where to start. Source: https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/getting-started/introduction/ Grow with Ghost (Ghost for short) is a go-to-market platform for B2B founders and small revenue teams. It replaces the usual stack of a data tool, a sequencer, LinkedIn automation, a content scheduler and a CRM with one app and one plan. > **Note:** Grow with Ghost (growwithghost.io) is not affiliated with Ghost, the open-source publishing platform at ghost.org. ## How Ghost works: find, warm, reach, close Everything in Ghost serves one of four jobs. The docs are organised the same way. | Step | What happens | Main features | |------|--------------|---------------| | **Find** | Build a list of people who match your ideal customer profile (ICP) | [Find People](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/find/find-people), [ICP Agent](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/find/icp-agent), [Lead Score](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/find/lead-score) | | **Warm** | Get on their radar before you message them | [Intent signals](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/find/signals), [Composer](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/content/composer), [Engagement hub](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/content/engagement) | | **Reach** | Contact them on LinkedIn and email, paced and personalised | [Campaigns](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/outbound/campaigns), [Sequences](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/outbound/sequences), [AI-built campaigns](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/outbound/ai-campaigns), [Inbox](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/outbound/inbox) | | **Close** | Turn replies into deals and follow up until they sign | [Pipeline](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/pipeline/overview), [Tasks](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/pipeline/tasks), [Meetings](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/pipeline/meetings) | The [Ghost Agent](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/agent/overview) sits across all four. You can ask it to do the work in plain English, and it asks for your approval before it sends, spends or deletes anything. The same actions are available to Claude, ChatGPT and other AI assistants through the [Ghost MCP server](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/api/mcp-server). ## What you need - **A LinkedIn account.** A standard account works. You don't need Premium or Sales Navigator. - **A work mailbox (optional).** Connect Gmail, Google Workspace or Outlook if you want email steps in your sequences. - **A clear idea of who you sell to.** Ghost asks for your ICP during setup and uses it for search, scoring and writing. ## Key ideas A few terms come up on almost every page. The [glossary](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/help/glossary) has the full list. - **Contact**: a person in your account, from any source (search, signals, CSV import, the ICP Agent). - **Campaign**: a list of contacts plus a **sequence** of steps (connection request, message, email, and so on) with delays between them. - **Lead Score**: a 0–100 score with an A–D band that decides who Ghost messages first. - **Signal**: someone engaging with content you track, such as a competitor's post. Engagement is the strongest buying signal on LinkedIn. - **Deal**: a contact on your Pipeline board. Replies create deals automatically. - **Credits**: what you spend to discover and enrich people. Writing, messaging and CRM work don't use credits. ## Where to start 1. Follow the [Quickstart](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/getting-started/quickstart) to go from sign-up to a live campaign. 2. [Connect LinkedIn](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/getting-started/connect-linkedin), then [connect email](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/getting-started/connect-email) if you want email steps. 3. Fill in your [persona, voice and pillars](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/getting-started/persona). Every message and post Ghost writes depends on it. ## FAQ ### Who is Ghost for? Founders doing their own sales, small revenue teams that want one shared system, and agencies running outreach for several clients. See [Teams](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/teams/teams) and [Agencies](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/teams/agencies). ### How much does Ghost cost? One plan with the full platform: $99, £79 or €89 a month, or 10% less paid annually, with a 7-day free trial. See [Plans and billing](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/account/plans-and-billing). ### Is Ghost safe for my LinkedIn account? Ghost paces every LinkedIn action within daily limits, stops a sequence when someone replies, and keeps AI-built campaigns as drafts until you approve them. No tool can promise zero risk. See [Limits and safety](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/outbound/limits-and-safety). --- # Quickstart > Go from sign-up to a live Ghost campaign: start your trial, let quick onboarding build your persona, ICP, prospects and first posts, connect LinkedIn and email, then launch. Source: https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/getting-started/quickstart/ This guide takes you from sign-up to your first live campaign. Most people are done in 15 minutes. ## 1. Start your trial Go to [app.growwithghost.io/try](https://app.growwithghost.io/try), choose monthly or annual, and sign up with Google or email. Confirm your email address, then add a card in Stripe checkout. You get **7 days free**. You're billed on day 7 unless you cancel before then. See [Plans and billing](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/account/plans-and-billing). ## 2. Let Ghost set itself up (about 90 seconds) Quick onboarding asks for three things: | Field | What Ghost does with it | |-------|------------------------| | **Your LinkedIn URL** (required) | Reads your headline, bio and recent posts to learn your voice | | **Your company website** (required) | Works out what you sell and your industry | | **Who do you sell to?** (optional) | Buyer job titles, industries, customer website keywords and locations. Leave it blank and Ghost builds your ICP from your website. | Click **Run Ghost Agent** and watch it work. In about 90 seconds it: - sets your voice - builds your ICP and buyer personas - drafts 5 content pillars - finds 50 matching prospects - drafts a starter campaign, called *{Your company} — Starter Campaign* - writes your first 5 posts Nothing is sent or published. The campaign is a draft and the posts are drafts. Finding the prospects uses about 50 of your 1,000 monthly [credits](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/find/credits). > **Tip:** Prefer to answer questions yourself? Click **Use the long form instead** for the 10-step classic onboarding. ## 3. Connect LinkedIn Go to **Campaigns → Outbound Config** and click **Connect LinkedIn**. You sign in to LinkedIn on a secure page, then come back to Ghost. See [Connect LinkedIn](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/getting-started/connect-linkedin). ## 4. Connect email (optional) To add email steps, connect Gmail, Google Workspace or Outlook in **Outbound Config → Email Account**. See [Connect email](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/getting-started/connect-email). ## 5. Check your persona Open **Persona hub** and check what Ghost learned: your company description, voice sliders, pillars and ICP. Everything Ghost writes, and every score it gives, comes from here. See [Persona hub](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/getting-started/persona). ## 6. Review and launch your campaign 1. Open **Campaigns** and click your starter campaign. 2. Check the contacts and remove anyone who isn't right. 3. Read every message in the sequence and edit anything that doesn't sound like you. 4. Switch the campaign **on**. Ghost starts sending within your [daily limits](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/outbound/limits-and-safety), in working hours, and stops for anyone who replies. ## 7. Schedule your first post Open **Content Library**, pick one of the 5 drafts, edit it, and schedule it. See [Composer](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/content/composer). ## Your setup checklist Your dashboard shows a **Get set up with Ghost** checklist until you're done: - [ ] Connect LinkedIn - [ ] Complete your persona brief - [ ] Add 5 creators to your watchlist ([Engagement hub](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/content/engagement)) - [ ] Schedule your first post - [ ] Launch your first outbound campaign ## What next - Track competitor engagement with [intent signals](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/find/signals). - Let the [ICP Agent](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/find/icp-agent) find new prospects every week. - Work replies in the [Inbox](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/outbound/inbox) and [Pipeline](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/pipeline/overview). - Connect [Claude or ChatGPT](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/api/mcp-server) to run Ghost in plain English. --- # Connect LinkedIn > How to connect your LinkedIn account to Ghost for outreach, the inbox and publishing, post as a company page, add more LinkedIn accounts, and reconnect when the connection drops. Source: https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/getting-started/connect-linkedin/ Connecting LinkedIn lets Ghost send your campaigns, sync your inbox, publish your posts and run keyword signals. A standard LinkedIn account works. You don't need Premium or Sales Navigator. You need an active trial or paid plan to connect. If you see "You're in trial preview mode", click **Start trial** first. ## Connect your account 1. Go to **Campaigns → Outbound Config** (or **Settings → Account → Social Media Connections**). 2. Click **Connect LinkedIn**. 3. Sign in to LinkedIn on the secure page that opens, including any two-factor check. 4. You're returned to Ghost and see "LinkedIn connected successfully!" Ghost connects through Unipile, a secure connection provider. Your LinkedIn password isn't stored by Ghost. ## What the connection is used for | Feature | Needs LinkedIn connected | |---------|--------------------------| | Outbound campaigns | Yes | | Inbox | Yes | | Publishing scheduled posts | Yes | | Posting comments from the Engagement hub | Yes | | Keyword signals and free location lookups | Yes | | Writing posts in Composer | No | | Find People and the ICP Agent | No | ## Post as a company page In **Settings → Account → Social Media Connections**, click **Add Company Page** to pick a page you admin, then choose it under **Post as**. In Composer and the schedule dialog you can then choose to post as yourself or the page. ## Multiple LinkedIn accounts Run outreach from more than one LinkedIn profile, for example a founder and a salesperson: 1. In **Outbound Config → LinkedIn Accounts**, turn on **Multi-Account Mode**. 2. Add seats: your first account is included, and each extra one is **£20, $25 or €23 a month**, up to 9 extra. 3. Click **Connect LinkedIn Account** for each profile. 4. Set each account's own daily limits (invites 1–30, messages 1–100). When you create a campaign, choose which accounts send. Contacts are shared between them in turn, and each account stays within its own limits. For a whole team, or clients with separate data, see [Teams](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/teams/teams) and [Agencies](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/teams/agencies). ## When the connection drops LinkedIn sometimes ends sessions, for example after a password change or a security check. When that happens: - your campaigns pause - the dashboard and Campaigns page show **Reconnect LinkedIn** - Ghost emails you that your profile needs reconnecting Click **Reconnect LinkedIn** and sign in again. Paused campaigns carry on where they left off. If your subscription ends, Ghost disconnects your LinkedIn account and campaigns stop. ## Troubleshooting | Problem | Fix | |---------|-----| | "Paid subscription required" or trial preview banner | Start your trial or plan, then connect | | "LinkedIn connection was cancelled or failed" | Try again, and complete LinkedIn's verification step on the sign-in page | | Connected, but nothing is sending | Check the campaign is switched on, has contacts, and you're within working hours. See [Troubleshooting](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/help/troubleshooting). | | Wrong LinkedIn account connected | Disconnect from the **Connected** menu and connect again while signed in to the right account | ## FAQ ### Do I need LinkedIn Premium or Sales Navigator? No. Ghost works with a standard LinkedIn account. If you have Sales Navigator, you can import its searches and lists. ### Does Ghost store my LinkedIn password? No. You sign in on a secure page run by our connection provider, Unipile, and Ghost never sees or stores your password. --- # Connect email > Connect Gmail, Google Workspace or Outlook to Ghost to send email steps in sequences, set a daily sending limit, capture inbox enquiries and sync calendar meetings. Source: https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/getting-started/connect-email/ Connecting a mailbox lets Ghost send email steps from your own address. The same connection powers [email lead capture](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/pipeline/email-capture) and [calendar meetings](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/pipeline/meetings). ## Connect your mailbox 1. Go to **Campaigns → Outbound Config → Email Account**. 2. Click **Connect Email** and choose Google or Microsoft. 3. Sign in and allow access. 4. Back in Ghost, the mailbox shows as connected. If it doesn't appear, click **Detect Account**. > **Tip:** Use a mailbox on your company domain (`you@yourcompany.com`). It lands in the primary inbox far more reliably than a free Gmail address. ## Set your daily limit In the same card, set your **daily sending limit**. It starts at 15. You can set 1–500, and we recommend 30–50 for an established mailbox. See [Email outreach](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/outbound/email-outreach). ## Then 1. Add an **Email** step to a sequence. See [Sequences and steps](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/outbound/sequences). 2. Make sure your contacts have a work email. Use **Find missing emails** on the campaign, or **Enrich** in Contacts. 3. Optional: turn on [email lead capture](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/pipeline/email-capture) and [calendar sync](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/pipeline/meetings) in **Pipeline → Settings**. ## Disconnecting Click **Disconnect** in the Email Account card. Email steps are skipped until you connect a mailbox again. ## Troubleshooting | Problem | Fix | |---------|-----| | Email steps skipped for some contacts | They don't have a work email. Use **Find missing emails**. | | "No email account connected" on a campaign | Connect a mailbox in Outbound Config | | Calendar sync says access is missing | Reconnect your mailbox to grant calendar access | | Emails going to spam | Check your domain with the [deliverability checker](https://www.growwithghost.io/tools/email-deliverability-checker), lower your daily limit, and keep emails short and plain | --- # Persona hub: voice, pillars and ICP > Set up Ghost's Persona hub: your profile, company description, voice sliders, content pillars, ideal customer profiles and content strategy brief, which power everything Ghost writes and scores. Source: https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/getting-started/persona/ The Persona hub is everything Ghost knows about you: who you are, what you sell, who you sell to and how you sound. Every post, comment, message and email Ghost writes, and every [Lead Score](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/find/lead-score), is based on it. **Where to find it:** sidebar → **Account → Persona hub**. The **Persona completeness** chip at the top shows how many of the six sections are done. [Quick onboarding](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/getting-started/quickstart) fills most of this in for you. Check it, then refine it. ## 1. You Your name, email, LinkedIn URL, role, a short bio, your **timezone** and how much time you have each day. The timezone matters: it sets your sending window, your 6am coach email and your 8am task email. ## 2. Your company Company name, website, and **what your company does** (up to 3,000 characters). Write it in the first person. Ghost uses it to write outbound messages and posts on your behalf, so be specific about who you help, how, and what results you get. ## 3. Voice and language | Setting | What it controls | |---------|------------------| | **Formal ↔ Casual** | Polished and professional, or relaxed and conversational | | **Thoughtful ↔ Punchy** | Longer, considered sentences, or short and direct | | **Professional ↔ Humorous** | Straight, or with personality and wit | | **English variant** | US (color, optimize) or UK (colour, optimise) spelling | | **LinkedIn goals** | What you want LinkedIn to do for you | Quick onboarding sets the sliders from your recent posts. In Composer, switch on **Match My Voice** to apply them. Ghost also learns how you write replies from messages you send, and uses that for follow-up drafts. ## 4. Content pillars Pillars are the recurring themes your posts are about. Each has a name, a description and example topics or angles. Quick onboarding drafts five. There's no limit. - **Add pillar** to write one yourself. - **Rebuild with AI** suggests 3–5 pillars from your persona. Pick the ones to keep, refine with feedback, and choose whether to replace your existing pillars. Deleting a pillar doesn't delete posts made from it. > **Tip:** Good pillars sit where your expertise meets your buyers' problems. For a founder selling to finance teams, that might be "Month-end close", "Finance team hiring" and "Lessons from building the product". ## 5. Ideal customer profiles Your ICP drives [Find People](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/find/find-people), the [ICP Agent](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/find/icp-agent), [Lead Score](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/find/lead-score) and AI-written sequences. Click an ICP to open it. - **Who to target:** job titles, seniority, industries, countries, cities and regions, tech stack, company size, annual revenue and company age, plus titles, industries and countries to **exclude**. - **Buyer personas:** the people who buy, their pains and the angles that work. These shape your sequences. - **Why they buy now:** buying triggers, pain points, signals to watch, and company events (like recent funding) that pre-filter Find People. - **Company and buyer profile:** what a good-fit company looks like, who buys, and who's **not a fit**. The header shows roughly how many people in the Ghost database match. Click **Find people** to search them. ### Change your ICP in plain English Type into **Tell Ghost what to change**, for example "UK founders only, £1M+ revenue, no agencies", and click **Suggest changes**. Ghost shows exactly what would change and how many people would match before and after, and warns you if the pool is very small (under 200) or very broad (over 50,000). Click **Apply changes** to use it. Contacts you haven't messaged yet are re-scored straight away. Every change is kept in **Change history**, and you can undo the latest one. You can have several ICPs. Find People, scoring and the ICP Agent use your most recently updated **Active** one. ## 6. Content strategy brief Click **Generate content strategy** for a written brief covering your LinkedIn persona, goals and audience, voice, pillars and strategy. Edit any section, or use **Improve with AI**. Posts and outreach build on it. ## Reset your persona **Reset persona** deletes your pillars, strategy brief and onboarding answers, resets your voice sliders, and sends you back to onboarding. Your posts, contacts and campaigns are kept. To rebuild only your pillars, use **Rebuild with AI** instead. --- # Your dashboard > What Ghost's dashboard shows: your score against targets, posts and engagement, weekday streak, outbound stats, pipeline, network growth, hot replies and the daily brief. Source: https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/getting-started/dashboard/ The dashboard is your performance at a glance. Choose **30**, **60** or **90 days** at the top. **Where to find it:** sidebar → **Dashboard**. ## Your score and activity | Card | What it shows | |------|---------------| | **Score** | How you're doing against your targets, as a percentage, with a tip on what to focus on | | **Total posts** | Posts published in the period | | **Engagement actions** | Comments and other engagement you've done | | **Weekday streak** | Weekdays in a row with at least one post or engagement. Weekends don't break it. | Your score is the average of three things, each capped at 100%: posts against your weekly target, engagement against your daily target, and connection requests against your daily target. See [Plans and billing](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/account/plans-and-billing). --- # Find People (600M-contact database) > Search Ghost's B2B database of 600M+ professionals by title, location, company and keywords, narrow to companies with buying signals, and import up to 1,000 leads per search. Source: https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/find/find-people/ Find People is a built-in B2B people search over **600 million+ profiles**. Filter by job title, location, company and keywords, narrow to companies with a reason to buy right now, then save the results to Contacts, a list or a campaign. You don't need a LinkedIn connection, LinkedIn Premium or Sales Navigator to use it. **Where to find it:** sidebar → **Leads → Find People**. ## 1. Set person filters Every person filter supports **include** and **exclude**: type a value, press Enter, and switch the chip to exclude to filter it out. You need at least one filter, and job titles work best. | Filter | Matches | Example | |--------|---------|---------| | **Job titles** | Current title | Include "Head of Marketing", exclude "Assistant", "Intern" | | **Countries** | Where the person is based | Country names or two-letter codes | | **Cities / regions** | City or region | "Manchester", "Bavaria" | | **Company domains** | The employer's website | `stripe.com`: the best way to target named accounts | | **Company LinkedIn URLs** | The employer's LinkedIn page | For companies without an obvious domain | | **First / last name** | Exact names | Re-finding people you already know | | **Keyword** | Bio, skills, education | "B2B SaaS", "fintech", "MBA" | **Load from ICP** fills the filters from a saved ICP. **Save filters to ICP** does the reverse. ### How location filtering works 1. **Country names are normalised.** "United Kingdom", "UK", "England" and "GB" mean the same thing. 2. **City and country are paired.** Choose Oxford and United Kingdom and Ghost searches Oxford in the UK, not anyone in Oxford *or* the UK. 3. **Every result is re-checked.** Leads in the wrong country are dropped before they reach Contacts, at no cost. For city searches, people elsewhere in the same country may be added after the exact matches, to fill your request. ## 2. Add company signals (optional) Open **Company signals** to narrow to people at companies showing buying signals, for example "raised funding in the last 60 days". | Filter | Options | |--------|---------| | **Trigger event** | Raised funding, new investment, hiring sales, hiring marketing, hiring engineering, headcount growing, new product, new partnership, merger or acquisition, new office, won an award, cost cutting | | **Within** | Last 30, 60 or 90 days | | **Industry** | Company industry | | **Employee size** | 1–10, 11–50, 51–200, 201–500, 501–1,000, 1,001–5,000, 5,001–10,000, 10,001+ | | **Revenue** | 0–500K up to 1B–10B | | **Company age** | 0–3, 3–6, 6–10, 10–20 or 20+ years | | **Company country, region, city** | Where the company is based | | **Tech stack** | Tools the company uses | | **Website keywords** | Words on the company's own website | | **Intent topics** | Topics the company is researching, such as CRM or payroll | If an industry you type isn't in the database's list, Ghost uses it as a website keyword instead, so the search still works. ## 3. Preview matches (free) Click **Preview matches** to see how many people match. It's free, so refine until the number looks right. If the count is low, Ghost shows which filter is narrowing it most. ## 4. Search and import 1. Choose how many to import: 50, 100, 150, 200, 300, 400, 500, 750 or 1,000. 2. Choose where they go: - **Contacts list**: save to Contacts - **Add to list**: save and group them in a list - **Enroll in campaign**: save and add the new contacts to a campaign 3. Click **Find {N} people**. Ghost pulls the profiles, skips anyone already in your Contacts, saves the rest as a named batch, and scores them with [Lead Score](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/find/lead-score). The results show how many were returned, how many were new, how many were already in your CRM, how many were enrolled, and the credits charged. ## Credits - Preview is **free**. - Importing costs **1 credit per new lead**. People already in your Contacts are skipped and not charged. - You need at least as many credits as the number you ask for. See [Credits](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/find/credits). ## Tips - **Start narrow, then widen.** Job title and country first, then add filters if the count is too high. - **Use exclusions** like "Assistant", "Intern" and "Former" to clean up title searches. - **Enrol on import** to skip a separate add-to-campaign step. - **Running the same search every week?** Let the [ICP Agent](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/find/icp-agent) do it on a schedule. - **Need emails?** Imports don't include emails by default. Use **Enrich** in Contacts, or **Find missing emails** on a campaign. ## From an AI assistant The same search is available through the [Ghost MCP server](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/api/mcp-server): `count_people` (free) and `search_people` (import), with extra filters for skills, years of experience, years at the company and headcount growth. See the [tool reference](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/api/tools#people-and-enrichment). ## FAQ ### Do I need Sales Navigator to use Find People? No. Find People uses Ghost's own B2B database of 600M+ profiles. You don't need LinkedIn Premium, Sales Navigator, or even a LinkedIn connection to search. ### Am I charged for contacts I already have? No. Anyone already in your Contacts is skipped before charging, so you only pay for new leads. ### What's the most I can import at once? 1,000 people per search. You need at least that many credits available. --- # ICP Agent > Ghost's ICP Agent turns a saved ideal customer profile into a search that sources, scores and enrols 50–1,000 new contacts per run, on demand or automatically every day or week. Source: https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/find/icp-agent/ The ICP Agent turns a saved ideal customer profile (ICP) into a standing instruction: **go and find more of these people**. Instead of re-running searches in [Find People](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/find/find-people), the agent builds the search from your ICP, sources up to 1,000 contacts a run, finds their work emails, scores them and can drop them straight into a campaign. **Where to find it:** the **ICP Agent** button at the top of **Find People** or **Contacts**. ## What happens in a run 1. **Builds the search** from your ICP's job titles, locations, seniority and company signals. 2. **Filters companies first** if you've added company signals (recent funding, hiring, headcount, revenue, tech stack, intent topics), so it starts with accounts that have a reason to buy. 3. **Finds people** in those companies. If the company signals run dry, it tops up with people at companies that match your size and location. 4. **Skips anyone already in your account**, so you never pay for or message someone twice. 5. **Finds work emails**, if that option is on. 6. **Scores** everyone with [Lead Score](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/find/lead-score). 7. **Enrols** them in a campaign, if you chose one. Each run is saved as a dated batch in Contacts, named like *ICP Agent — Founders UK · 14 Oct 2026 07:00*. ## Set it up 1. **Choose an ICP.** ICPs live in [Persona hub](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/getting-started/persona). 2. **Who to target.** Job titles, countries, cities and regions, and seniority, filled in from the ICP. Changes here only apply to this agent. **Reset to ICP** puts them back. Always include at least one job title. 3. **Where they work.** Layer company signals on top: recent funding, headcount, revenue, tech stack or intent. 4. **Run settings:** | Setting | Options | |---------|---------| | **Contacts to source** | 50, 100, 200, 300, 500, 750 or 1,000 (default 100) | | **Add to campaign** | A campaign, or contacts only | | **Find work emails after import** | On by default. Charged only when an email is found. | | **Run automatically** | Daily, or weekly on a day you choose | 5. Click **Preview matches** to see how many people match. It's free. If it shows 40,000, tighten the filters. If it shows 12, loosen them. 6. Click **Run agent** to run it now, or **Save schedule** to run it automatically. ## Automatic runs Scheduled agents run at **07:00 UTC**, every day or on your chosen weekday. Your saved agents are listed under **Automatic agents**, where you can pause, resume or delete them. Deleting an agent doesn't remove contacts it already imported. Each run records how many people were requested, found, imported, enriched and enrolled, and any error. ## Credits - **Preview is free.** - Each contact imported costs **1 credit**. People already in your account are skipped before charging. - Work email lookups cost 1 credit each, **only when an email is found**. - The run won't start unless you have at least as many credits as the contacts you asked for. See [Credits](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/find/credits). ## ICP Agent and Lead Score work together The ICP Agent decides who enters your funnel. Lead Score decides the order they leave it. No database is perfect, so a big run will usually spread across all four bands, and your campaigns send to the best fits first. ## Troubleshooting | Symptom | Likely cause | |---------|--------------| | Few new contacts per run | You already have most of the matches. Widen the ICP or change the company signals. | | Preview shows zero | Too many filters. Remove company signals first, then narrow again. | | Contacts have no email | No verified email was found, or email finding was off. Ghost never guesses emails. | | Contacts imported but nothing sending | Check the campaign is switched on and the LinkedIn profile isn't at its [daily limit](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/outbound/limits-and-safety). | | Everything lands in band C or D | Your ICP relies on fields the data doesn't carry. See [tuning your scores](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/find/lead-score#tuning-your-scores). | --- # Lead Score > How Ghost scores every contact 0–100 against your ICP, what the A–D bands mean, exactly how points are awarded, and how the score decides who gets messaged first. Source: https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/find/lead-score/ Lead Score answers one question: **of everyone in your account, who should Ghost message first?** Every contact gets a score from **0 to 100** and a band from **A** to **D**. The score decides the order contacts leave the sending queue, so your best-fit, highest-intent people hear from you while they're still warm, instead of waiting behind thousands of rows that happened to be imported earlier. > **Note:** A low score never stops anyone being contacted. It only means they're queued later. ## Where you see it | Place | What it shows | |-------|---------------| | Contacts table | A **Lead Score** column with the number and band | | Contacts table | **Lead Score: high to low** sorting, and a band filter (including **A & B only**) | | Contact detail | A **Lead Score** tab with the ICP it was scored against and every point awarded | | Contacts toolbar | A **Lead Score** button to score new contacts on demand | | Engagement feed | A band badge on posts by people in your Contacts | Hover over a badge to see the reasons. Each line is a real criterion and the points it added, so every score can be explained. ## The bands | Band | Score | Meaning | |------|-------|---------| | **A** | 70–100 | Strong fit: matches your ICP and shows buying signals | | **B** | 50–69 | Good fit: clearly on target, fewer signals | | **C** | 30–49 | Partial fit: some match, thin evidence | | **D** | 0–29 | Weak fit: little overlap with your ICP | ## How the score is built The score is rules-based, not AI. The same contact and the same ICP always give the same number. It has two parts: - **ICP fit**: up to **70 points** - **Buying signals**: up to **30 points** ### ICP fit (up to 70) Fit is measured against the ICP in your [persona](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/getting-started/persona). | Criterion | Weight | Compared with | |-----------|--------|---------------| | Job title matches a target role | 34 | Target roles | | Seniority matches | 14 | Seniority levels | | Industry matches | 12 | Target industries | | Location matches | 10 | Target locations and countries | | Company size in range | 8 | Company size min and max | | Intent keyword match | 8 | Buying-intent keywords and topics | | Revenue in range | 8 | Target revenue ranges | | Tech stack match | 6 | Target tech stack | Two rules make this work on real-world data: 1. **Missing data counts as unknown, not as a miss.** Most LinkedIn-sourced contacts have a headline but no industry, company size or tech stack. If a criterion can't be checked, because your ICP doesn't define it or the contact has no data for it, it's left out of the calculation instead of scored as zero. A small adjustment stops a single thin match looking like a perfect fit. 2. **Titles are matched on meaning, not exact text.** Target roles include your ICP's buyer persona titles. A full phrase match scores highest, a strong word overlap scores about two-thirds, and a single shared word about a third. Seniority words such as head, chief, VP, founder, director, partner and owner earn partial seniority credit even without an exact match. If nothing can be checked at all (no ICP set, or an empty contact), the contact gets a neutral **35**. ### Buying signals (up to 30) | Signal | Points | |--------|--------| | Engaged with content you track ([signals](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/find/signals)) | 12 | | Has messaged you before | 10 | | Company is hiring | 8 | | Started their role in the last 6 months | 6 | | Active on LinkedIn in the last 30 days | 6 | | Already connected to you on LinkedIn | 4 | | Has an email address | 3 | | Active on LinkedIn in the last 90 days | 2 | | Open to work | 2 | | No LinkedIn activity for 90+ days | −3 | | A score from your CSV import (0–10) | −12 to +12 | Follower count is deliberately not a signal. If you import a CSV with a score column (such as a 0–10 fit score from another tool), it's folded in: 5 is neutral, 10 adds 12, 0 takes 12 away. Engagement carries the most weight on purpose: someone commenting on a competitor's posts is the strongest buying signal on LinkedIn. ### Activity checks New contacts get a LinkedIn activity label so you message people who are actually around. Usually this is free: if Ghost already saw them engage or message you, that's the activity date. Everyone else gets a light "recent posts" check, limited to 20 per connected LinkedIn profile per day, run in the background and paused while a connection is unhealthy. Results are cached for 30 days. Anyone not checked yet shows as **Unknown** and scores neutrally. ### Exclusions and disqualification | Trigger | Effect | |---------|--------| | Title on your excluded list | −25 and disqualified | | Industry on your excluded list | −15 and disqualified | | Country on your excluded list | −30 and disqualified | | Matches a disqualifying factor | −20 and disqualified | The points are shown in the breakdown so you can see why, but what actually happens is a cap: a disqualified contact scores **20 at most**, so they go to the back of the queue. They're never deleted. To make sure someone is never messaged, **Blacklist** them in Contacts. ## Adjusting a score yourself Know something the data doesn't? Open the contact, go to the **Lead Score** tab and click **Adjust score** to move it up or down in steps of 5, with an optional note ("Met at an event"). Your adjustment is kept when the contact is re-scored, and sorting, filters and campaign priority all use the adjusted score. **Reset to automatic** removes it. ## How the score changes sending 1. Whenever a contact's score changes, it's copied to their campaign enrolment. 2. Each time Ghost sends for a campaign, about **75%** of the slots go to the highest-scoring contacts who are due. 3. The other **25%** go to the people who've waited longest, and anyone waiting more than **14 days** comes first. Nobody waits forever. 4. It stops when that LinkedIn profile's [daily limit](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/outbound/limits-and-safety) is reached. Re-ranking only happens inside a campaign. It never starves another campaign, and pacing and daily limits work exactly as before. If you'd rather send strictly in the order people were added, ask us to turn lead priority off for your account. ## When scoring runs | Trigger | What gets scored | |---------|------------------| | Importing from Find People, the ICP Agent, CSV, a LinkedIn search, or enriching contacts | The new contacts, straight away | | New contacts from signal scans | On the next background run, or when you click **Lead Score** | | **Lead Score** button | Contacts that are unscored, or were scored before your ICP last changed | | You apply a change to your ICP | Every contact not yet messaged, straight away | > **Note:** Once a contact's first campaign message has been sent, their score is frozen, so their place in the sequence doesn't keep shifting. Scores are calculated against your most recently updated active ICP. ## Tuning your scores If too many contacts land in band D, the fix is nearly always the ICP, not the scoring: - **Add more target roles**, including the informal titles your buyers really use. - **Set seniority levels.** That's 14 points, and it can usually be read from a headline. - **Add buying-intent keywords** that appear in headlines and bios. - **Don't rely on firmographics alone.** Industry, company size and tech stack are skipped when contacts don't carry them. An ICP made only of those can't score LinkedIn-sourced contacts well. - **Use exclusion lists instead of deleting contacts**, so the queue sorts itself. ## FAQ ### Does a low Lead Score stop someone being messaged? No. A low score only means they're contacted later. Disqualified contacts are capped at 20 and moved to the back of the queue, but they're never deleted or skipped automatically. Use **Blacklist** in Contacts to stop someone being messaged. ### Is Lead Score calculated by AI? No. It's a fixed set of rules, so the same contact and ICP always produce the same score, and every point can be traced to a reason. ### Can I override a score? Yes. Open the contact, go to the **Lead Score** tab and use **Adjust score**. Your adjustment survives re-scoring and is used for sorting and campaign priority. ### Why is everyone in band C or D? Usually your ICP relies on fields your contacts don't have, such as industry or tech stack. Add target roles, seniority levels and intent keywords, which can be matched against a LinkedIn headline. --- # Intent signals > Turn LinkedIn engagement into pipeline with Ghost Signals: capture everyone who engages with competitor profiles, posts, company pages, events and searches, and track buying-intent keywords for free. Source: https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/find/signals/ Signals turn other people's LinkedIn activity into your pipeline. Instead of guessing who might be interested, Ghost watches the profiles, posts and pages that matter in your market and captures the people who engage with them. Someone commenting on a competitor's post is the strongest buying signal LinkedIn gives you. **Where to find it:** sidebar → **Leads → Signals**. The page has two tabs: **Audience Signals** and **Keyword Signals** (beta). ## Audience signals ### Add a signal source Click **Add Source** and paste a LinkedIn URL. Ghost works out what it is: | Source | Paste a URL like | Ghost captures | |--------|------------------|----------------| | **Profile** | `linkedin.com/in/…` | People reacting to and commenting on their recent posts | | **Company** | `linkedin.com/company/…` | People engaging with the page's recent posts | | **Post** | A single post URL | Reactions and comments on that post | | **Event** | `linkedin.com/events/…` | People attending the event | | **Search** | A LinkedIn or Sales Navigator search or list URL | The people in the results | Then set: - **Label**: a name you'll recognise. - **Max contacts to retrieve**: 100, 200 or 500. The scan reserves that many credits up front. - **Exclude employees from** (company pages): people with this company in their headline won't be messaged, so you don't pitch your competitor's own staff. - **Geographic filter**: allow only certain countries, or block some. Blocked contacts are never saved. - **Start scanning immediately** and, for profiles, **Also add to my Engagement feed watchlist**. New contacts land in [Contacts](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/find/contacts), tagged with the source. You can refresh a source by hand once every **48 hours**. ### Streamed signals A streamed signal keeps a source running on its own and can feed a campaign directly. Click **Make Streamed Signal** on a source and choose: | Setting | Options | |---------|---------| | **Refresh interval** | Daily, weekly (default) or monthly | | **Contacts per refresh** | 50, 100, 200 or 500 | | **Link to campaign** | New contacts are enrolled automatically, or just collected | Ghost checks every few hours for streams that are due. Removing a stream stops the refreshes but keeps the contacts and enrolments it already created. ### Locations and country rules LinkedIn engagement rarely comes with a location. Ghost keeps people whose location is unknown, looks it up for free in the background, and only enrols them into a linked campaign once it's confirmed they match your country rules. People clearly in the wrong country are dropped. ## Keyword signals (beta) Keyword signals track LinkedIn posts that mention buying-intent phrases, such as "hiring an SDR" or "migrating off HubSpot". The people who wrote those posts become your leads. - **Free**: they run on your connected LinkedIn account and use no credits. - **Settings**: keywords (exact phrases score higher), words to exclude, how far back to look (1–30 days, default 7), and a weekly or daily cadence. - **Auto-add high scorers**: link a campaign and Ghost adds authors who score above your minimum (default 70) automatically. - Employees of the brands you track are filtered out. Each post author gets a 0–100 relevance score based on keyword matches, whether their headline matches your ICP roles, location, intent keywords, how recent the post is and how much engagement it got. This is separate from [Lead Score](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/find/lead-score). ## Credits | Action | Cost | |--------|------| | Audience signal scan or stream refresh | 1 credit per **new** contact saved. Duplicates are free. The unused part of the reservation is refunded. | | Keyword signals | Free | | Location lookups | Free | A scan won't start if you have fewer credits than its maximum contacts. Your credit log shows the reservation and the refund as separate rows. See [Credits](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/find/credits). ## Tips - Start with 3–5 competitor or peer profiles that post every week. That's where the warmest engagement is. - Link streamed signals to a campaign so contacts flow straight into outreach. - Set country rules if you only sell in certain markets. - Review new signal contacts weekly and add the best to a list. ## FAQ ### Why did a scan need 500 credits when it found 40 people? The scan reserves your maximum up front, then refunds whatever it didn't use. You're only charged for new contacts saved. ### How often do streamed signals refresh? Daily, weekly or monthly, whichever you choose. Weekly is the default. ### Why can't I refresh a source? Manual refreshes have a 48-hour cooldown. Turn the source into a streamed signal to refresh it automatically. --- # Contacts > Ghost's contact database: where contacts come from, importing from LinkedIn searches, CSV and URLs, filters, lists, enrichment, blacklisting, trash and CSV export. Source: https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/find/contacts/ Every person Ghost finds or you import lands in one place: **Contacts**. From here you score, enrich, group and enrol them. **Where to find it:** sidebar → **Leads → Contacts**. ## Where contacts come from | Source | How | |--------|-----| | [Find People](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/find/find-people) | Search the 600M+ database and import | | [ICP Agent](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/find/icp-agent) | Automatic sourcing from your ICP | | [Signals](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/find/signals) | People engaging with profiles, posts, pages and events you track | | **Import from Search** | LinkedIn search, CSV file, or pasted profile URLs (below) | | **Look up a lead** | Turn one email, phone number, LinkedIn URL or company into a contact | | [Email lead capture](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/pipeline/email-capture) and **New deal** in Pipeline | Enquiries and people you add to deals | ## Importing Click **Import from Search**. The sheet has three tabs. ### LinkedIn search Paste a LinkedIn or Sales Navigator people search URL and choose 50, 100 or 200 contacts. This uses your connected LinkedIn account and costs no credits. Searches filtered to your 1st-degree connections may return nothing. ### CSV or Excel Upload a `.csv`, `.xlsx` or `.xls` file. It needs a **LinkedIn profile URL** column. Ghost recognises common headers for everything else automatically: | Field | Headers Ghost recognises | |-------|--------------------------| | Name | first name, last name, full name, name | | Company | company, company name, organisation, employer | | Title | title, job title, headline, position, role | | Email | work email, business email, personal email, email | | Location | location, city, region, country | | Score | lead score, score, rating, fit score (0–10) | A score column is folded into each contact's [Lead Score](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/find/lead-score). You can also tick **Look up LinkedIn profiles** to fill in headline, company, location and followers. Each lookup costs 1 credit, or nothing if Ghost already has that profile, up to 5,000 per import. Emails and phone numbers only come from your file. ### Paste URLs Paste LinkedIn profile URLs (`linkedin.com/in/…`), one per line. For every import, choose where contacts go: Contacts only, a campaign (they're enrolled straight away), or a list. ## Look up a lead **Look up a lead** turns an email address, phone number, LinkedIn URL or company into a full profile you can save to Contacts. Each successful lookup costs 1 credit. ## Finding contacts Search by name, company or location, sort by newest, Lead Score or followers, and filter by: - **Score band**: A & B only, or a single band - **Status**: New, Watching, Contacted, Connected, Paused or Blacklisted - **Engagement**: comments, likes or shares - **Signal source** and **batch** (every import is a dated batch) - **Campaign state**: in a campaign, not started, in sequence, replied, no answer, paused or failed - **Connection**: connected, pending invite, not connected, unknown - **Contact details**: has work email, has personal email, has mobile, none - **List** **Hide Excluded** (on by default) hides people excluded by a signal source's employee rule. Use the **Columns** menu to choose and reorder columns, including company size and revenue. ## Lists Lists are saved groups of contacts: a persona, an event, a territory or hand-picked accounts. Select contacts, add them to a list, then filter by that list here or when adding contacts to a campaign. Manage lists from **Lists**. ## Bulk actions Select contacts to: - **Enroll in Campaign** - **Add to Watchlist** (their posts appear in your [Engagement feed](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/content/engagement)) - **Enrich** (below) - **Add to** or **Remove from List** - **Blacklist**: they'll never be messaged by any campaign - **Delete**: moves them to Trash and removes them from campaigns ## Enrichment **Enrich** finds contact details for the contacts you select: | Option | Cost | |--------|------| | Verified work email (recommended) | 1 credit per contact, only if found | | Personal email | 1 credit per contact, only if found | | Mobile phone | 1 credit per contact, only if found | | Profile details (photo, followers, headline, company, skills) | 1 credit per contact | A work email must also be deliverable to count. Ghost shows the maximum cost before you start, and progress as it runs. ## The contact record Click a contact to see their **Overview**, **Company**, **Messages**, **Activity** and **Lead Score** (with the full breakdown and **Adjust score**). ## Trash Deleted contacts stay in **Trash** for 7 days. Restore them from there. Restoring doesn't re-add them to campaigns. ## Export **Export CSV** downloads the contacts currently shown, with your filters applied: names, LinkedIn URL, headline, location, company, emails, mobile, followers, engagement, source, status and dates. Lead Score isn't included in the export. ## FAQ ### How do I stop someone ever being messaged? Select them and click **Blacklist**. Blacklisted contacts can't be enrolled in any campaign. ### Can a contact be in two campaigns at once? No. A contact can only be active in one campaign at a time. They're skipped if you add them to a second one. --- # Credits > What Ghost credits pay for, the 1,000 free credits included every month, exact costs per action, top-up packs, refunds and how to read your credit log. The **Usage log** lists every credit used or added, with the date, type, description and amount. Signal scans show two rows: the reservation, then a refund for whatever wasn't used. ## Top-ups Click **Buy more credits** to top up. Packs are priced in US dollars: | Price | Credits | |-------|---------| | $10 | 1,000 | | $25 | 2,750 (10% bonus) | | $50 | 6,000 (20% bonus) | | $100 | 13,000 (30% bonus) | Top-ups are added to your bonus balance and never expire. ## FAQ ### Do credits roll over? Monthly credits don't: they're topped back up to 1,000 on the 1st. Bonus credits you buy never expire. ### Am I charged when a search finds nothing? No. You're only charged for new contacts actually saved, and email and phone lookups are only charged when something is found. ### Do messages or AI writing use credits? No. Credits are only for finding and enriching people. --- # Composer > Write LinkedIn and X posts in your own voice with Ghost's Composer: briefs, Idea Studio, post structures, lengths, AI models, refining, media, PDF carousels, mentions and scheduling. Source: https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/content/composer/ Composer writes LinkedIn and X posts in your voice, from a rough brief or an idea, and schedules them. **Where to find it:** sidebar → **Content → Composer**. ## Three ways to start | Mode | Use it when | |------|-------------| | **Start with a brief** | You know what you want to say: a story, a lesson, an opinion. Ghost shapes it into a post. | | **Idea Studio** | You know the pillar but not the angle. Ghost gives you five different directions. | | **Write manually** | You want to write it yourself, add media and schedule it. | ## Post details | Setting | Options | |---------|---------| | **Content pillar** | One of your [pillars](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/getting-started/persona#4-content-pillars) (required) | | **Post structure** | **Recommend** (Ghost picks the best fit and avoids your recent patterns), **Story** (moment → turn → lesson), **Point of view** (belief → evidence → conclusion), **Observation** (noticing → meaning → invitation), **Breakdown** (example → analysis → next step) | | **Voice inspiration** | My style (default), Top creator, Lead generation, AI expert, B2B creator, Founder/CEO | | **Target length** | Concise (~80 words), Short (~140), Standard (~250, recommended), Long (~400) | | **Post brief** | What it's about. Click the mic to dictate. | | **Match My Voice** | Apply your voice sliders from Persona hub | | **AI model** | Claude Sonnet 5.5 (default), Claude Opus 5.5, Claude Haiku 5.5, Grok 4.6, GPT-5.6, Gemini 3.8 Flash or Gemini 3.1 Pro. Your choice is remembered. | If you have X switched on in **Settings → Account → Content Platforms**, choose LinkedIn or X. For X, pick a single tweet or a 3–5 tweet thread, and turn on **X Premium** for 4,000 characters instead of 280. If you have more than one LinkedIn profile connected, choose who you're **Posting as**. ## Idea Studio Pick a pillar and Ghost suggests **five** different directions, each with a structure, a short brief and an outline (opening, beats, ending). Ideas draw on high-performing posts from the creators Ghost studies. For any idea you can see the outline, get **more like this** or **try another angle**, or select it to draft. ## Refining a draft Every generation is kept as a version, so you can go back. To improve a draft: - Use the quick buttons: **Rewrite opening**, **Change structure**, **Make specific**, **Tighten**, **Rewrite ending**. - Or type an instruction, like "make it more casual" or "add a number from our case study". Ghost edits just that part and keeps the rest. - **Clean up** removes formatting left over from pasting or AI. - Ghost suggests 3–5 hashtags, which you can add or remove. - Type **@** to tag a person or company. ## Performance analysis Ghost scores a draft out of 100 on **Hook**, **Proof**, **Authenticity**, **Value** and **Actionability**, plus an overall score. It runs when you click **Save to Approved**, and the score is shown in your Content library. Aim for 70+ across the board. ## Media - **LinkedIn:** JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP, or a PDF (shown as a swipeable carousel, with a title you set). Up to 10MB. - **X:** images only. Video and polls aren't supported. ## Save or schedule | Button | What it does | |--------|--------------| | **Schedule Post** | Pick a date and time (09:00 by default) and who to post as. Ghost publishes it automatically. | | **Save to Approved** | Ready to go, not scheduled yet | | **Save Draft** | Keep working on it later | | **Discard Post** | Throw it away | There's no "publish now" button. To post straight away, schedule it a few minutes ahead, or **Copy** the text. See [Content library and scheduling](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/content/content-library). ## Limits - **LinkedIn posts:** up to **2,600 characters**. LinkedIn's own limit is 3,000, and the margin stops posts being rejected. - **AI posts per month:** your plan includes a monthly allowance (125 on the standard plan), reset on the 1st. Writing manually doesn't count. ## Tips - Put a real story, number or opinion in the brief. The more specific the input, the less generic the post. - Use **Recommend** for structure until you know what works for you. - Post 3–5 times a week, across all your pillars. --- # Content library and scheduling > Manage every post and newsletter in Ghost's Content library: the drag-and-drop calendar, statuses, filters, bulk generation and scoring, export, trash, and how scheduled posts are published. Source: https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/content/content-library/ The Content library holds every post and newsletter you've created, and the calendar you schedule them on. **Where to find it:** sidebar → **Content → Content Library**. ## Tabs | Tab | What's in it | |-----|-------------| | **Calendar** (default) | Your schedule by month | | **Drafts** | Work in progress | | **Approved** | Ready to schedule | | **Scheduled** | Booked to publish. Show it as a list or a calendar. | | **Posted** | Published, with impressions and engagement | | **Trash** | Deleted items, kept for 90 days | ## The calendar - **Drag an approved post onto a day** to schedule it, or drag a scheduled post to move it. - Click **+** on a day to schedule an approved post, or click an empty future day to write a new one. - New posts are set for **09:00**. Change the time in the preview. - Ghost warns you if two posts are on the same network on the same day. - Once you've published at least 10 posts, Ghost tells you which days your posts do best. - Filter by network, jump to **Today**, and use the arrow keys to move between months. Click a published post to see its impressions and engagement. ## Filters and search Search titles and text, and filter by date range, AI score, content type (posts or newsletters), platform (LinkedIn or X), pillar and tone. Sort by date created, last updated or title. ## Bulk actions - **Generate Posts**: write 5, 10, 20 or 30 posts at once from your pillars. They're scored automatically and count toward your monthly AI allowance. - **Score All**: score posts that don't have a score yet. - Select posts to **Approve**, **Export** or **Delete** them together. ## Export Export selected items as **CSV**, **JSON**, **Markdown** or **PDF**, and choose which fields to include: title, body, created date, pillar, platform, score, status and hashtags. ## How publishing works - **LinkedIn** posts are published from your connected LinkedIn profile, or your company page if you chose to post as it. - **X** posts are published through your connected X account. - If publishing fails, Ghost retries up to 3 times. If a post is more than 24 hours late, it's marked **Failed** rather than posted late, and Ghost emails you. You need a connected account and an active plan to schedule. See [Connect LinkedIn](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/getting-started/connect-linkedin). ## Trash Deleted posts and newsletters stay in Trash for **90 days**. Restore them, or **Delete Forever**. Published posts can't be deleted from Ghost: delete them on LinkedIn or X. ## Tips - Keep 5–10 posts in **Approved** so you always have something ready. - Use the best-days hint to place your strongest posts. - Spread your pillars across the week rather than posting the same theme twice in a row. --- # Engagement hub > Use Ghost's Engagement hub to follow the creators, prospects and competitors that matter, see their posts ranked by relevance and Lead Score, and comment with AI drafts in your voice. Source: https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/content/engagement/ The Engagement hub is where you build relationships before you ever send a message. Follow the right people, see their posts ranked by how much they matter, and comment with drafts written in your voice. **Where to find it:** sidebar → **Content → Engagement**. It has two tabs: **Feed** and **Watchlists**. ## Watchlists Your watchlist is the list of LinkedIn profiles whose posts appear in your feed. - **Add a profile** with its LinkedIn URL, or **import profiles from CSV**. - **Auto-follow campaign contacts** adds everyone in your active campaigns automatically, refreshed daily. Commenting on their posts warms them up before your messages arrive. - Profiles are checked in rotation, roughly every two hours on weekdays and less at weekends, within a daily budget that keeps your account safe. Posts older than 21 days are ignored. - Filter by status (active, paused, error), activity (has posts, no posts, stale for 14+ days) and source (hand-picked or campaign contacts). Select several to pause, activate or remove them. You can also add people from [Contacts](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/find/contacts) with **Add to Watchlist**, or when you add a [signal source](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/find/signals). ## The feed | Control | Options | |---------|---------| | **Sort** | Recent first, Most relevant, Priority (Lead Score) | | **Authors** | All authors, A + B leads only, Known contacts | | **Campaign** and **sender** | Only authors in a campaign, or assigned to one of your profiles | | **AI model** | The model that writes comment drafts | Sub-tabs keep the feed tidy: **Inbox**, **Saved**, **Engaged** and **Trash**. Archive posts older than 7 or 14 days, or **Clear inbox** to dismiss everything shown. Each post shows the author's Lead Score band, if they're in your Contacts, with **Why this lead?** to see why. - **Boost** (once a day) checks 30–50 of your longest-unchecked profiles straight away. - **Ghost Pool** (optional) adds recent posts from up to five other Ghost users, so you can support each other. ## Comment drafts Click **Reply** on a post. Ghost summarises what the post is really saying, then writes three drafts, each from a different angle: | Angle | What it does | |-------|--------------| | **Sharpen** | Adds a sharper distinction or reframe | | **Tension** | Respectfully raises the trade-off the post skipped | | **Experience** | Adds a concrete example from your own work | The rule is *curious expert, not salesperson*: no pitching in comments. **Redo** any angle, or add instructions and **Regenerate with Instructions**. **DM Starter** drafts a direct message instead. Then: - **Post via Ghost** posts the comment from your connected LinkedIn account. Choose **Comment as** if you have several profiles. - **Copy & Post** copies it so you can post it yourself. - **Mark as Engaged** counts it if you commented on LinkedIn directly. ## From an AI assistant The same feed is available through the MCP server: `list_engagement_opportunities`, `suggest_engagement_comments` and `post_engagement_comment`. See the [tool reference](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/api/tools#engagement). ## Tips - Comment on 5–15 posts a day, every weekday, rather than 40 in one go. - Start with **A + B leads only**. - Turn on auto-follow for campaign contacts. A thoughtful comment before your first message lifts acceptance. - Never open with "Great post!". That's what the drafts are for. --- # Newsletters > Draft long-form LinkedIn newsletters and X Articles with Ghost's Newsletter Composer: pick a pillar, generate five ideas, choose a tone, write a 500–800 word draft and export it. Source: https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/content/newsletters/ The Newsletter Composer drafts long-form LinkedIn newsletters and X Articles in your voice. **Where to find it:** sidebar → **Content → Newsletters**. ## Write a newsletter 1. **Select a content pillar.** No pillars yet? Create one in [Persona hub](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/getting-started/persona). 2. **Topic direction** (optional): guide the ideas, or leave it blank. 3. Click **Generate Ideas**. Ghost suggests **five** ideas, each with a title and a one-line summary. **Regenerate All** for five more. 4. Pick an idea and a **tone**: Professional, Conversational, Thought Leader or Storytelling. Switch on **Match my voice** to use your voice settings. 5. Ghost writes a draft of **500–800 words** with subheadings. 6. Edit the title and body, or give an instruction and click **Regenerate**. ## Save and export | Button | What it does | |--------|--------------| | **Copy** | Copy the text | | **Export MD** | Download as Markdown | | **Save as Draft / Approved / Posted** | Save it to your [Content library](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/content/content-library) | | **Discard** | Throw it away | Saved newsletters live in the Content library. Click **View Saved** to jump there. Drafts aren't saved automatically, so save before you leave the page. > **Note:** Ghost doesn't publish newsletters for you. Copy or export the draft and publish it in LinkedIn's newsletter editor, X, or your email tool. ## Tips - One idea per issue, with a clear takeaway. - Use subheadings so it's easy to skim. - End with one call to action: reply, book a call, or read something. - Publish on a regular schedule, every week or every two weeks. --- # Post analysis > Score your LinkedIn profile and recent posts with Ghost's Post analysis, get prioritised recommendations and quick wins, and learn from top posts by leading creators. Source: https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/content/post-analysis/ Post analysis scores your LinkedIn profile and your recent posts, and tells you what to fix first. **Where to find it:** sidebar → **Content → Post Analysis**. It analyses the LinkedIn URL in your [Persona hub](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/getting-started/persona). Your posts need to be public. ## Profile analysis Click **Analyze Profile** (or **Refresh**) for: - an overall score out of 100 - scores for your headline, about section, experience, and visibility in search - prioritised recommendations, each with its impact and how long it takes - quick wins you can do in under 30 minutes - what's already working ## Posts analysis Ghost scores your last 10 posts out of 100 on **Hook**, **Proof**, **Authenticity**, **Value** and **Actionability**, and gives you an average. Compare your best and worst posts to see what to do more of. ## Top posts from creators **Top Posts from Creator Watchlist** shows up to six high-performing posts from the last 30 days by creators Ghost follows, with the full text, so you can study the hook, structure and call to action. Click **Refresh** for a new set. These creators also feed ideas in [Composer's Idea Studio](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/content/composer#idea-studio). ## Free post analysis Not a customer yet? The [free LinkedIn post analysis](https://app.growwithghost.io/free-post-analysis) scores any public profile and up to 10 posts. It's limited to 3 analyses per email address per month. ## Tips - Fix the quick wins first. A clearer headline helps every message you send. - Re-run it once a month to see whether your hooks are improving. - Copy structures from top posts, never sentences. --- # How outbound works in Ghost > An overview of Ghost outbound: campaigns, sequences of LinkedIn and email steps, how sending is paced and scheduled, what stops a sequence, and where each part lives in the app. Source: https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/outbound/overview/ Outbound is how Ghost reaches people for you: connection requests, LinkedIn messages and emails, paced like a careful person would send them, stopped when someone replies. **Where to find it:** sidebar → **Outbound → Campaigns**. Replies are in **Outbound → Inbox**. ## The building blocks | Piece | What it is | Docs | |-------|-----------|------| | **Campaign** | Who you're contacting and which LinkedIn profiles send. The start and end shift by up to an hour each day so the pattern isn't robotic. - Each LinkedIn profile has its own **daily limits** for invites and messages, and your mailbox has its own email limit. See [Limits and safety](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/outbound/limits-and-safety). - Weekends run at **50%** of weekday volume by default. - Higher [Lead Score](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/find/lead-score) contacts are sent to first. ## What stops a sequence | Event | What happens | |-------|--------------| | They reply on LinkedIn | Their sequence stops in **all** your campaigns, and they appear in your [Inbox](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/outbound/inbox) and [Pipeline](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/pipeline/overview). Replies are checked about every 30 minutes and again just before each send. | | They reply by email | Their sequence stops in all your campaigns, as long as [email lead capture](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/pipeline/email-capture) is switched on. Out-of-office and other auto-replies don't count. | | You message them from their deal | Their sequence pauses | | A meeting with them is booked | Their sequence pauses (if that setting is on) | | You blacklist them | They're skipped | | They're already connected | The invite step is skipped | | They don't accept your invite | After 7–28 days the invite is withdrawn, and they move to your email route if you have one | > **Tip:** If your sequences include email steps, switch on **email lead capture** in **Pipeline → Settings**. That's how Ghost reads replies to your emails and stops the sequence. ## FAQ ### Is outbound available on my plan? Yes. Outbound is part of the full Ghost plan and the 7-day trial. You need to [connect LinkedIn](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/getting-started/connect-linkedin) to send. ### Does Ghost send anything without my approval? No. Every campaign is created as a draft, including ones built by the Agent Campaign, Ghost Agent or your AI assistant. Nothing sends until you switch it on. --- # AI-built campaigns > Build a whole Ghost campaign with AI: the one-click Agent Campaign, AI-written sequences, the starter campaign from onboarding, Ghost Agent, and MCP campaigns from Claude or ChatGPT. Source: https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/outbound/ai-campaigns/ Ghost can build a campaign for you, from finding the people to writing the messages. Every AI-built campaign is saved as a **draft**: you review the leads and the copy, then switch it on. ## Agent Campaign (one click) **Where:** **Campaigns** tab → **Agent Campaign**. 1. Name the campaign and pick an **ICP** (create one in [Persona hub](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/getting-started/persona) first). 2. Choose **how many contacts**: 25, 50, 100 or 200. 3. Pick a **goal** (book a call, start a conversation, share a resource, get feedback) and a **tone** (professional, casual, direct, curious, warm). 4. Click **Run Agent**. Ghost searches using your ICP, scores and qualifies the matches, adds the top ones as contacts, and drafts a 4-step sequence in your voice. You'll see "Draft campaign ready" with the number of contacts and steps. Review it, edit any step, then switch the campaign on. Contacts come from [Find People](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/find/find-people), so they use [credits](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/find/credits). ## AI-written sequences When you create a sequence yourself, fill in the brief (who you're targeting, your value proposition, pain points, tone and goal) and click **Generate sequence**. Use **Refine** on any step for a rewrite, or **Refine with feedback → Rewrite all steps**. See [Sequences and steps](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/outbound/sequences). ## Your starter campaign [Quick onboarding](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/getting-started/quickstart) finds 50 people who match your ICP and drafts a starter campaign called *{Your company} — Starter Campaign*. It's waiting in Campaigns as a draft. ## Ghost Agent Ask the [Ghost Agent](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/agent/overview) something like "Set up a new campaign for my ICP and draft the messages." It shows you a plan, asks before spending credits or starting anything, and leaves you to approve the launch. ## From Claude, ChatGPT or another assistant Through the [Ghost MCP server](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/api/mcp-server), your own assistant can search for people, build sequences and campaigns, and enrol contacts. With [MCP campaigns](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/api/mcp-campaigns), it can research each person and write every message individually, while Ghost handles sending and limits. ## Before you switch it on - **Check the contacts.** Remove anyone you know shouldn't be there, and blacklist people you never want to message. - **Read every step.** Make sure each message sounds like you and makes one clear ask. - **Check emails.** If the sequence has email steps, use **Find missing emails** on the campaign. - **Check your limits.** Big campaigns are paced by your [daily limits](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/outbound/limits-and-safety), so 200 contacts won't all be invited on day one. --- # Campaigns > Create, launch, pause and manage outbound campaigns in Ghost: campaign types, the setup wizard, sending profiles, progress stats, stalled campaigns and statuses. Source: https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/outbound/campaigns/ A campaign is a group of contacts going through a [sequence](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/outbound/sequences), sent from one or more of your LinkedIn profiles. **Where to find it:** sidebar → **Outbound → Campaigns**. ## Create a campaign Click **New Campaign**. The wizard has five steps: 1. **Type and name.** - **Outbound** sends connection requests to new prospects. - **Existing Connections** messages people you're already connected to. Use a sequence that starts with a message: invite steps are skipped automatically. The name is internal only. Recipients never see it. 2. **Sequence.** Pick one, or click **New sequence** to start from a template or write one with AI. 3. **Send from.** Only shown if you've turned on multiple LinkedIn accounts. Pick one or more profiles, and contacts are shared between them in turn. 4. **Contacts.** Pick contacts by source, signal or import batch, or import from a LinkedIn search URL. This step is optional: you can add contacts after launch. 5. **Review and launch.** Click **Create campaign**. The campaign is saved as a **draft**. Nothing sends until you turn it on. To let AI do the setup, use **Agent Campaign** instead. See [AI-built campaigns](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/outbound/ai-campaigns). ## Start, pause and stop Each campaign card has an **on/off switch**. Turn it on to start sending. Turn it off to pause everyone, and back on to resume where each person left off. The switch is disabled until a campaign has contacts. From the **…** menu you can **View details**, **Archive** (moves it to the Archived section; **Restore** brings it back) or **Delete**. Deleting a campaign removes its enrolments but keeps the contacts. ## One campaign per person A contact can only be active in **one campaign at a time**. If you add someone who's already in another active or paused campaign, or already in this sequence, they're skipped and Ghost tells you how many. ## Campaign detail Click a campaign to see: - **Totals**: total, not started, in progress, completed, replied and failed. - **Email warnings**: whether a mailbox is connected and how many contacts are missing a work email. **Find missing emails** looks them up (1 credit per email found). - **Sending from**: which LinkedIn profiles send. Click **Edit senders** to change them. - **Sequence in use**: click **Change sequence** to switch. - **Contacts**: click **Add Contacts** to add more. Pause, resume or remove anyone individually. ## Progress and stats The campaign card shows progress as **Not started → Invite sent → In sequence → Complete → Replied**, with invites sent, accepted, acceptance rate and failures. Email-only campaigns show emails sent, replies and reply rate. For more detail, use the **Activity** and **Analytics** tabs. **Where replies come from** credits each reply to the last thing you sent before it arrived: the invite, or message 1, 2 or 3+. ## Stalled campaigns If a campaign is switched on and still has people waiting, but nothing has moved for **48 hours**, it shows **Stalled · Fix**. Click it and Ghost diagnoses and repairs what it can, such as a disconnected profile or an exhausted contact list, and tells you anything you need to sort out. ## Statuses | Campaign | Meaning | |----------|---------| | **Draft** | Created, not started | | **Active** | Sending | | **Paused** | Switched off | | **Completed** | Everyone has finished the sequence | | **Archived** | Hidden from the main list | | Person in a campaign | Meaning | |----------------------|---------| | **Active** | Going through the sequence | | **Waiting for connection** | Invite sent, not accepted yet | | **Replied** | They replied. Their sequence has stopped. | | **Paused** | Paused by you, a meeting, or a message you sent from their deal | | **Completed** | Finished all steps | | **Failed** | A step couldn't be sent, for example a deleted profile | ## Tips - Test new messaging on 20–50 people before adding hundreds. - Check replies daily and update the copy based on what people say. - If acceptance is low, tighten your targeting before sending more. --- # Sequences and steps > Build LinkedIn and email sequences in Ghost: templates, AI-written copy, the five step types, delays, merge fields, the 220-character invite note limit, auto-withdraw and the not-accepted email route. Source: https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/outbound/sequences/ A sequence is the list of steps each person in a campaign goes through, with a delay in days between them. One sequence can mix LinkedIn and email steps. **Where to find it:** **Campaigns → Sequences**, or **New sequence** inside the campaign wizard. ## Start from a template Click **Create Sequence** to pick a template, or start blank. | LinkedIn only | LinkedIn + email | |---------------|------------------| | ICP Cold Outreach | Full Multi-Touch: LinkedIn + Email | | Re-engage Dormant Connections | Email-First ICP Outreach | | Event / Webinar Follow-up | Multi-Channel: LinkedIn + Email | | Content Engager → Conversation | | | Minimal 2-Step | | ## Write it with AI On the left of the builder, fill in the brief: - Sequence name and description - **Who are you targeting?** - **Value proposition / hook** - Pain points (optional) - Tone and goal Click **Generate sequence** (or press Cmd/Ctrl + Enter). Ghost writes every step. Use **Refine** on a single step, or **Refine with feedback → Rewrite all steps** to change the lot. You can always edit any step by hand and drag steps to reorder them. Save with **Save as draft** or **Save & activate**. ## Step types | Step | What it does | |------|--------------| | **Connection Request** | Sends an invite, with an optional note. Ghost views their profile (and sometimes likes a post) just before, so you don't need a separate warm-up step. | | **LinkedIn Message** | Sends a message. Needs you to be connected. | | **Email** | Sends from your connected mailbox, with a subject and body. Needs the contact's work email. | | **Profile View** | Views their profile, as a warm-up. | | **Like Recent Post** | Likes their latest post. Skipped if they haven't posted recently. | Every step after the first only runs if they haven't replied. There are no InMail, follow, endorse or if/else steps. ## Delays Each step has a **Wait (days)** setting: whole days after the previous step. The first step can send as soon as someone is enrolled. Ghost adds a few random hours to each delay and keeps every send inside your working hours, so the timing never looks automated. A typical multi-channel sequence: ``` Day 0 Connection request (with a short note) Day 2 LinkedIn message (after they accept) Day 5 Email Day 9 LinkedIn message ``` ## Merge fields | Merge field | Becomes | |-------------|---------| | `{{first_name}}` | First name | | `{{last_name}}` | Last name | | `{{full_name}}` | Full name | | `{{company}}` | Company name | | `{{job_title}}` | Job title | | `{{how_we_help}}` | A sentence Ghost writes for each contact, about how you can help them | Ghost flags anything it can't fill, such as `[First name]` or `{{location}}`, and suggests the right field. Use **Preview** to see a step with a real contact's details. ## Invite note limit Keep connection notes to **220 characters**, including merge fields once they're filled in. LinkedIn's own limit is 300, but it rejects notes close to it. ## Invites that aren't accepted **Auto-withdraw unaccepted invites** after 7, 14 (recommended), 21 or 28 days. Withdrawing old invites keeps your pending list healthy, which LinkedIn watches. ### The not-accepted email route Add steps under **Not accepted → Email** to keep going with people who never accept: - The route starts when an invite is withdrawn. Its first delay counts from the withdrawal. - It can only contain email steps, and needs a connected mailbox and a work email. - Write these as standalone cold emails. Don't mention LinkedIn or connecting. Without this route, an unaccepted invite ends the sequence for that person. ## Sequence statuses **Draft**, **Active** or **Paused**. From the row menu you can edit, duplicate, pause or activate, and delete a sequence. ## Tips - Keep sequences to 3–5 touches. - Make the first message about them, not you. Reference their post, their company or why you're reaching out now. - One ask per message. - Leave 2–5 days between touches. --- # Email outreach > Send email steps from your own Gmail or Outlook in Ghost sequences: requirements, daily sending limits, finding work emails, the not-accepted email route, deliverability and how replies work. Source: https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/outbound/email-outreach/ Ghost can send email steps as part of a sequence, from your own Gmail, Google Workspace or Outlook mailbox. Email reaches people your LinkedIn limits can't, and gives you a second channel for people who don't accept your invite. ## What you need | Requirement | How | |-------------|-----| | A connected mailbox | [Connect email](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/getting-started/connect-email) in **Campaigns → Outbound Config → Email Account** | | An **Email** step in your sequence | See [Sequences and steps](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/outbound/sequences) | | A work email for each contact | Import it, or find it with **Enrich** or **Find missing emails** | Contacts without a work email skip email steps. Their LinkedIn steps still run. ## Finding work emails - **On a campaign:** the campaign page warns you how many contacts are missing a work email. Click **Find missing emails** and choose *Not started only* or *All missing emails*. - **In Contacts:** select contacts → **Enrich** → **Verified work email**. - **On import:** include a work email column in your CSV, or turn on email finding in the [ICP Agent](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/find/icp-agent). Each email found costs 1 credit. Nothing is charged when no email is found, and Ghost never guesses addresses. ## Daily sending limit Set your mailbox's **daily sending limit** in **Outbound Config → Email Account**. It starts at **15 a day**, can go from 1 to 500, and **30–50 is recommended** to protect deliverability. Email has its own limit and doesn't use up your LinkedIn message allowance. Emails go out in the same working hours as everything else, at reduced volume on weekends. ## How emails are sent - From your own mailbox, so they appear in your Sent folder and replies come back to you. - As simple, personal-looking emails. Ghost doesn't add open or click tracking, or an unsubscribe link, so add an opt-out line yourself where your local rules require one. - Ghost checks the mailbox belongs to you before every send. ## Replies to emails Replies land in your normal inbox. To have Ghost act on them, switch on [email lead capture](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/pipeline/email-capture) in **Pipeline → Settings**. Then, when a contact replies by email: - their sequence stops in all your campaigns, just as it does for a LinkedIn reply - the email is added to their deal timeline - they're added to your Pipeline, or moved forward if they're asking for a call or proposal Out-of-office messages, bounces and other auto-replies are ignored, so they don't stop a sequence. Ghost checks your mailbox regularly through the day, so allow a little time between a reply arriving and the sequence stopping. > **Warning:** Without email lead capture switched on, Ghost doesn't read your inbox, so email replies won't stop a sequence. Pause the contact yourself, or reply from their [deal record](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/pipeline/deals), which pauses their sequence. ## The not-accepted email route People who never accept your invite can move onto an email-only route after the invite is withdrawn. See [the not-accepted email route](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/outbound/sequences#the-not-accepted-email-route). ## Deliverability tips - **Use your work domain.** A `@yourcompany.com` mailbox lands in the primary inbox far more often than a free Gmail address. - **Check SPF, DKIM and DMARC** with the free [email deliverability checker](https://www.growwithghost.io/tools/email-deliverability-checker). - **Start low.** If the mailbox is new, keep the daily limit around 15–20 for the first couple of weeks. - **Keep it short and plain.** 50–120 words, one ask, no attachments or images. - **Personalise the subject** with `{{company}}` or `{{first_name}}`. ## FAQ ### Which email providers work with Ghost? Gmail, Google Workspace and Microsoft Outlook (including Microsoft 365). ### Does Ghost track opens and clicks? No. Sequence emails are sent without tracking pixels or rewritten links, which helps them look and land like normal emails. ### How many emails can I send a day? You choose, from 1 to 500 per day. The default is 15, and we recommend 30–50 for an established mailbox. --- # Daily limits and LinkedIn account safety > How Ghost keeps your LinkedIn account safe: daily invite and message limits, working hours, weekend volume, pacing, automatic backoff and warm-up, invite withdrawal and best practice. Source: https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/outbound/limits-and-safety/ Ghost sends like a careful person would: within daily limits, spread through your working day, and stopped when someone replies. This page explains every safeguard and the settings you control. ## Daily limits Set these in **Campaigns → Outbound Config → Daily Volume Limits**. | Limit | Range | Default | |-------|-------|---------| | Connection requests per day | 5–30 | 9 | | LinkedIn messages per day | 10–100 | 50 | | Emails per day (per mailbox) | 1–500 | 15 | | Weekend volume | 0–100% of weekdays | 50% | - Ghost varies each limit by one either way from day to day, so your activity never looks mechanical. - Campaigns that only message existing connections have their own message allowance of at least 80 a day. - Email has its own limit and never uses up LinkedIn messages. - Set weekend volume to 0% to pause at weekends. With [several LinkedIn accounts](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/getting-started/connect-linkedin#multiple-linkedin-accounts), each account has its own limits: invites 1–30 and messages 1–100. > **Tip:** For a new or quiet LinkedIn profile, start at 5–10 invites a day and increase gradually over a few weeks. ## When Ghost sends - **Working hours:** roughly 09:00 to 19:00 in your timezone. The start and end move by up to an hour each day. - **Spread out:** at least 8–10 minutes between invites from the same account, with short random pauses between every action. - **Natural:** before each invite, Ghost views the person's profile, the way you would. - **Lead Score first:** your best-fit contacts are sent to before everyone else. ## If LinkedIn pushes back - **Invite limits:** if LinkedIn starts refusing invites, Ghost pauses **invites only**. Messages, profile views and likes carry on. A banner on the Campaigns page tells you when invites will resume. - **Warm-up after a pause:** invites restart gently over 5 days: 2, then 3, then 5, then 10, then your normal limit. - **Disconnected account:** if your LinkedIn connection drops, all campaigns pause and Ghost emails you to reconnect. ## Built-in protection - **Nothing sends without you.** Every campaign starts as a draft, including those built by AI. - **Stops on reply.** A reply on LinkedIn, or by email with email lead capture on, stops that person's sequence in every campaign. - **One campaign per person.** Nobody gets two sequences at once. - **Old invites withdrawn.** Unaccepted invites are withdrawn after 7–28 days (you choose), at most 25 a day, keeping your pending list healthy. - **Blacklist.** Blacklisted contacts can never be enrolled. - **Your own accounts.** Ghost sends from your LinkedIn profile and your mailbox, never a shared pool. ## The honest part LinkedIn's User Agreement restricts automated activity, and LinkedIn decides how it enforces that. No tool can promise your account will never be restricted. What keeps risk low is sensible volume, good targeting and messages people want to receive: - Keep your ICP tight. Relevant messages get replies, not reports. - Personalise the opener. - Keep your profile complete and post regularly, so people recognise you. - Don't max out every limit on day one. Read more in [LinkedIn account safety](https://www.growwithghost.io/safety) and the [LinkedIn automation safety guide](https://www.growwithghost.io/blog/linkedin-automation-safety-guide-2026-what-s-allowed-and-what-gets-you-banned). ## FAQ ### How many connection requests can I send per day? Between 5 and 30 per LinkedIn account. The default is 9, and Ghost varies it by one either way each day. ### Does Ghost send at weekends? Yes, at 50% of your weekday volume by default. Set **Weekend Volume** to 0% to pause at weekends. ### Can I change the hours Ghost sends in? Not yet. Ghost sends between roughly 09:00 and 19:00 in your timezone. Set your timezone in Persona hub so the window is right. ### Do I need LinkedIn Premium or Sales Navigator? No. Ghost works with a standard LinkedIn account. --- # Inbox and replies > Ghost's Inbox for LinkedIn conversations: AI intent scoring, lead statuses, hot lead alerts, filters, syncing, and what happens to a sequence when someone replies. Source: https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/outbound/inbox/ The Inbox shows your LinkedIn conversations, with Ghost's intent scoring, lead statuses and hot lead alerts on top. Email replies arrive in your own mailbox. With [email lead capture](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/pipeline/email-capture) on, they stop the contact's sequence and are added to their [deal timeline](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/pipeline/deals). **Where to find it:** sidebar → **Outbound → Inbox**. The badge on the sidebar counts **hot lead alerts** you haven't dealt with yet. > **Note:** The Inbox needs a healthy LinkedIn connection. If yours has expired, you'll be asked to reconnect, and outbound pauses until you do. See [Connect LinkedIn](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/getting-started/connect-linkedin). ## Finding conversations - **Search** conversations by name or text. - **Replies only** hides threads where they haven't written back. - **Filters** add pills for **🔥 High Intent** (with a count of ones going stale) and each lead status: **Replied**, **Warm**, **Meeting Request**, **Opportunity**, **Client** and **Not Interested**. ## Intent scoring Ghost reads each conversation and gives it an intent level: **High Intent**, **Warm**, **Low Intent** or **No Intent**. Click ⚡ **Score all conversations with AI** to score everything now. Ghost also tells you how many need a follow-up. ## The contact panel Next to each conversation you'll see the person's company, the campaign they came from and their import source. You can set their **lead status**, add **notes**, or create a contact from the conversation if they aren't one yet. ## When someone replies - Their sequence **stops in every campaign**. Nobody gets an automated follow-up after they've answered. - They're added to your [Pipeline](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/pipeline/overview). Interested and high-intent replies become a **Lead**, others a **Prospect**. - New replies are picked up about every 30 minutes. Click **Sync** to check now. ## Hot lead alerts When an **A or B band** lead replies, and it isn't a clear "no", Ghost: 1. Adds an alert to the Inbox badge and your dashboard's **Hot replies** card 2. Shows a pop-up if you're in the app 3. Emails you, once per person per 7 days Switch the email and pop-ups on or off in **Settings → Notifications**. See [Notifications](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/account/notifications). ## Replying Type in the message box and click **Send**. It always goes from the LinkedIn account that owns the conversation. Messages sent by the Ghost Agent or through MCP are labelled so you can tell. For AI-drafted replies, open the person's deal and click **Suggest follow-up**, or ask the [Ghost Agent](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/agent/overview). From the deal you can also schedule a reply for later with [queued replies](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/pipeline/deals#queued-replies). ## Tips - Work **High Intent** first, then everything with **Replies only** on. - Reply within 24 hours. Response rates drop sharply after that. - Set lead statuses as you go. They feed your Pipeline and make the Inbox easier to scan. --- # Pipeline, the CRM built into Ghost > How Ghost's Pipeline works: one board from Prospect to Won, deals created automatically from replies and meetings, customisable stages, filters, trash and settings. Source: https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/pipeline/overview/ Pipeline is the CRM inside Ghost. Every prospect, lead, opportunity and signed client sits on one board, with the full LinkedIn and email conversation, meetings, notes and tasks attached. You don't need a separate CRM or an integration to keep it updated: replies to your campaigns and booked meetings create and move deals for you. **Where to find it:** sidebar → **Leads → Pipeline**. ## Views | Tab | Use it to | |-----|-----------| | **Board** | Drag deals between stages | | **List** | Sort and scan every deal in a table | | **Tasks** | Work through overdue, today and upcoming follow-ups ([Tasks and reminders](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/pipeline/tasks)) | | **Dashboard** | See pipeline value, wins and revenue by source ([Pipeline dashboard](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/pipeline/dashboard)) | | **Settings** | Stages, automation, reminders, default deal size, [email lead capture](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/pipeline/email-capture) and [meetings](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/pipeline/meetings) | Above the Board and List you'll see **Open deals**, **Open pipeline**, **Won this month**, **Win rate** and **Needs follow-up** (no touch in 5+ days). ## Stages New accounts start with: **Prospect → Lead → Qualified → Opportunity → Proposal → Won → Lost** In **Pipeline → Settings → Stages** you can rename, recolour and reorder stages, add new ones, and give each a short description that shows on the board. A stage can only be deleted once it's empty. When you move a deal to **Won** or **Lost**, Ghost asks what closed it or why it was lost, and records the close date. ## How deals get into the pipeline Ghost adds and moves deals automatically for people in your campaigns or already in the pipeline: | What happens | Where the deal goes | Source shown | |--------------|---------------------|--------------| | An interested reply to a campaign | **Lead** | Campaign reply | | Any other reply to a campaign | **Prospect** | Campaign reply | | A conversation scored high intent | **Lead** | High-intent reply | | An A or B band lead replies | **Lead** | Hot lead | | A meeting is booked | A stage named like meeting, call, demo or discovery, or else **Qualified** | Meeting | | An enquiry arrives in your connected inbox | The stage Ghost suggests, after you approve it | Email enquiry | | You add one yourself | The stage you choose | Added by hand | Automatic moves only go forward. Ghost never moves a deal back a stage and never reopens a Won or Lost deal. If a reply looks like a clear "no", Ghost doesn't move the deal. It pins a note suggesting you move it to Lost. Switch each rule on or off in **Pipeline → Settings → Automation & reminders**: "Campaign replies become Leads", "High-intent replies become Lead" and "Hot leads become Lead". ### Adding a deal yourself Click **New deal**. Search your existing contacts, or create a new one with a name, LinkedIn URL (so messages sync), company, job title, email, phone and an optional deal value. ## Filters Search deals by name, company or title, and filter by: - **Lead score**: all, or A + B leads only - **Source**: added by hand, campaign reply, high-intent reply, hot lead, email enquiry or meeting - **Needs follow-up**: deals with no contact in 5+ days - **Queued replies**: deals with a follow-up scheduled to send ([deal record](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/pipeline/deals#queued-replies)) ## Default deal size In **Pipeline → Settings**, set a default currency (£, $ or €) and amount. It's applied to every new deal that doesn't have a value, so your pipeline value is meaningful from day one. ## Trash **Remove from pipeline** moves a deal to **Trash**. It stays there for 7 days, and restoring it puts it back in the stage it was in. ## Exports and integrations Pipeline doesn't sync to other CRMs or export to CSV today. To work with your deals outside Ghost, use the [MCP server](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/api/mcp-server) from Claude or ChatGPT, or [export your account data](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/account/data-and-privacy#export-your-data). ## FAQ ### Do I need a separate CRM with Ghost? No. Pipeline is included in every plan and fills itself from campaign replies, meetings and inbox enquiries. Most founders and small teams run their whole sales process in it. ### Can a deal move backwards automatically? No. Automatic rules only move deals forward and never reopen a Won or Lost deal. You can always drag a deal to any stage yourself. ### Can I use Pipeline from Claude or ChatGPT? Yes. Every Pipeline action is available through the [Ghost MCP server](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/api/mcp-server): list deals, move stages, add notes and tasks, draft follow-ups and read the dashboard. See the [Pipeline tools](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/api/tools#pipeline-crm). --- # The deal record > Everything about one deal in Ghost's Pipeline: the LinkedIn and email timeline, sending from the deal, AI follow-up drafts, queued replies, meetings, notes, tasks and deal details. Pin the important ones. | | **Tasks** | Follow-ups linked to this deal ([Tasks and reminders](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/pipeline/tasks)) | | **Details** | Deal name, value, currency (GBP, USD, EUR, AUD or CAD) and expected close date | ## The conversation timeline Newest first, the timeline shows LinkedIn messages, emails, connection invites sent and withdrawn, profile views and post likes from your campaigns, your comments on their posts, notes, tasks, stage changes and meetings. Click **Sync now** to pull the latest LinkedIn messages. ## Sending from the deal Choose **LinkedIn** or **Email**, write your message (and a subject for email), and send. Email needs a [connected mailbox](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/getting-started/connect-email) and an email address for the contact. If they emailed you recently, your reply goes in the same thread. > **Note:** Sending from the deal pauses that person's campaign sequence, so a personal message and an automated follow-up never go out together. ## AI follow-ups Click **Suggest follow-up** and Ghost writes three drafts. Each one uses the whole conversation, any meetings and their next steps, the deal stage, how long it's been since you last spoke and your voice, and comes with a one-line reason it fits now. Pick one, edit it, send it. ## Queued replies Sometimes the right move is to follow up later: "try me next quarter". Pick a draft and choose **Queue for later** instead of sending. - Quick picks: 1 week, 1 month, 3 months or next quarter, sent at 09:30. Or choose your own time (at least 5 minutes ahead). - One queued reply per person. - If the prospect asked to reconnect later, Ghost suggests the date for you. **Ghost checks before it sends.** If they've replied, you've messaged them, a call has been booked or the deal is closed, the queued reply doesn't go. If Ghost isn't sure, it holds the message and asks for your OK. Queued replies show as *Queued* or *Needs your OK* on the board, and you can edit or cancel them any time. ## Closing a deal Move the deal to **Won** or **Lost** and Ghost asks what closed it, or why it was lost. The close date is recorded automatically. Won deals count toward **Won this month** and **Where revenue comes from** on the [dashboard](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/pipeline/dashboard). --- # Tasks and reminders > Follow-up tasks in Ghost's Pipeline: task types, automatic reminders for quiet and stuck deals, meeting follow-ups, snoozing, and the optional 8am daily task email. Source: https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/pipeline/tasks/ Tasks keep deals from going cold. You can add them yourself, and Ghost adds them automatically when a deal goes quiet or a meeting needs following up. **Where to find it:** sidebar → **Leads → Tasks**, or the **Tasks** tab in Pipeline. The sidebar badge shows how many tasks are overdue. Tasks are grouped as **Overdue**, **Today** and **Upcoming**. ## Task types Follow up, Call, LinkedIn message, Email, Meeting, and Meeting next step. A task can be linked to a deal and has a due date. Mark it done, or **snooze** it for 3 hours, until tomorrow, 3 days or a week. Tasks Ghost created carry an **Auto** badge. ## Automatic tasks | Ghost creates a task when… | Default | Setting | |----------------------------|---------|---------| | An open deal has had no contact | 5 days | "Remind me after no contact for": off, 3, 5, 7, 10 or 14 days | | A deal has been in one stage too long | 14 days | "Flag deals stuck in a stage for": off, 7, 14, 21, 30 or 45 days | | The expected close date has passed | — | On when either reminder above is on | | They missed a meeting | — | Task to rebook | | A meeting happened and you haven't followed up | 1–7 days after | — | | A next step they promised in a meeting is overdue | — | Task to chase | | You have next steps from a meeting's Granola notes | — | "Turn my next steps into tasks" | Change these in **Pipeline → Settings → Automation & reminders**, and the meeting options in **Pipeline → Settings → Meetings**. ## Daily task email Turn on **Daily task email at 8am** in **Pipeline → Settings** to get a short email each morning, in your timezone, with: - tasks due today - queued replies going out soon - new email enquiries waiting for you It's **off by default**. > **Tip:** Set your timezone in [Persona hub → You](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/getting-started/persona) so the email and reminders arrive at the right time. --- # Email lead capture > Let Ghost find genuine enquiries in your connected Gmail or Outlook inbox and add them to your Pipeline, with suggested stages, alerts and strict privacy rules. Source: https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/pipeline/email-capture/ Not every lead comes from LinkedIn. If you've [connected Gmail or Outlook](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/getting-started/connect-email), Ghost can read your inbox for real enquiries (contact-form submissions, pricing questions, introductions) and bring them into your [Pipeline](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/pipeline/overview). ## Turn it on You need a mailbox connected in **Campaigns → Outbound Config → Email Account** first. Ghost reads that mailbox directly: there's no forwarding or BCC address to set up. Go to **Pipeline → Settings → Email lead capture** and switch on **Capture leads from my inbox**. It's off by default, and once on it only reads email that arrives after you switched it on. To catch recent enquiries, click **Scan last 30 days**. ## What Ghost picks up - Website contact-form submissions. Ghost uses the enquirer's details, not the form tool's. - Requests to talk, for a quote, pricing or a proposal - Referrals and introductions - Replies from people already in your Contacts or Pipeline Ghost ignores newsletters, receipts, notifications, cold pitches, recruiters, your colleagues and anything sent from your own domain. ## Suggested leads New enquiries appear in **Suggested leads from email** at the top of the Pipeline board, each with a one-line summary, a suggested stage and any budget mentioned. | Button | What it does | |--------|--------------| | **Add** | Creates the contact (or matches an existing one) and adds the deal | | **Dismiss** | Hides this suggestion | | **Always ignore** | Ignores that sender, or their whole domain, from now on | Switch on **Add confident leads automatically** to skip the review step for clear-cut enquiries. Anything Ghost is less sure about still waits for you. ## Emails from existing contacts When someone in an active campaign emails you, **their sequence stops** in all your campaigns, the same as a LinkedIn reply. Out-of-office messages, bounces and other auto-replies are ignored. When someone already in your Contacts emails you, the email is added to their conversation history and they're added to the pipeline: as **Qualified** if they're asking for a call, meeting or proposal, otherwise as a **Lead**. Deals never move backwards. ## Alerts - **Email me when a new enquiry arrives**: on by default. - **Daily task email at 8am**: if you've turned it on, it includes how many enquiries are waiting. ## Privacy - New mail is checked automatically through the day. - For emails Ghost ignores, it keeps only the sender, subject and a short snippet, and deletes them after 7 days. - Suggestions you dismiss are deleted after 30 days. - Full email text is kept only for emails linked to a contact or deal. - **Delete captured email data** in Settings removes everything captured. Your deals stay. ## FAQ ### Does Ghost read all my email? Ghost screens mail that arrives after you turn email lead capture on (or the last 30 days if you click **Scan last 30 days**). Emails that aren't enquiries are reduced to sender, subject and a snippet, then deleted after 7 days. Full text is only kept for emails linked to a contact or deal. ### Can I stop Ghost suggesting someone? Yes. Click **Always ignore** on their suggestion to ignore that sender or their whole domain. --- # Meetings and notes > Sync meetings from your Google or Outlook calendar and notes from Granola onto the right deals in Ghost, with AI summaries, next steps, meeting tasks and automatic sequence pauses. Source: https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/pipeline/meetings/ Ghost can pull meetings from your calendar and notes from Granola onto the matching deal, so every call sits in the same timeline as your messages. It then uses them: booked meetings move deals forward and pause campaigns, and next steps become tasks. **Where to set it up:** **Pipeline → Settings → Meetings**. ## Calendar Switch on **Log meetings from my calendar**. Ghost reads the main calendar of the Gmail or Outlook mailbox you [connected for email](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/getting-started/connect-email). Meetings with people in your pipeline appear on their deal, matched by **attendee email address** only, never by name or company domain. When you first switch it on, Ghost looks 30 days back and 30 days ahead. > **Tip:** If sync says calendar access is missing, reconnect your mailbox in **Campaigns → Outbound Config** to grant it. ## Granola notes Click **Connect Granola** to pull meeting notes and next steps onto the matching deal. Only meetings with people already in your pipeline are imported. For each meeting, Ghost writes: - a short summary - up to 6 next steps, with who owns each (you or them) and when it's due - commitments, objections, buying signals, budget and timeline ## What meetings do automatically | Setting | Default | What happens | |---------|---------|--------------| | **Pause campaign sequences when a meeting is booked** | On | Automated steps stop for that person. You can still message them and queue follow-ups yourself. | | **Turn my next steps into tasks** | On | Your next steps from Granola notes become [tasks](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/pipeline/tasks). | | Deal stage | Always | A booked meeting moves the deal to a stage named like meeting, call, demo or discovery, or to **Qualified**. | Ghost also creates tasks when someone misses a meeting (rebook), when a meeting happened and you haven't followed up, and when a next step they promised is overdue. ## On the deal The deal's **Meetings** tab shows upcoming and past meetings with their status (**Upcoming**, **Held**, **No-show** or **Cancelled**). From there you can: - join the call, or open the notes in Granola - mark a meeting as held or no-show - re-read the notes - unlink a meeting that isn't this person's - log a meeting by hand **Suggest follow-up** uses the meeting summary and next steps, so drafts reference what was actually said. ## Privacy Calendars and Granola are checked automatically through the day. Meetings nobody in your pipeline attended are deleted after 30 days. **Delete calendar data** and **Disconnect and delete notes** remove what Ghost has stored. ## FAQ ### Which meeting tools does Ghost support? Your Google or Outlook calendar (through the mailbox you connected to Ghost) and Granola for notes. Zoom, Fireflies and other recorders aren't connected directly. ### Why didn't a meeting show up on a deal? Ghost matches meetings by attendee email. Make sure the contact's email in Ghost is the one they used for the invite, and that they're in your pipeline. --- # Pipeline dashboard > The numbers behind your Pipeline in Ghost: open pipeline, won this month, win rate, average time to close, pipeline by stage and where revenue comes from. You can edit the message text, then **Approve edited**. | Look-ups and drafts run straight away and appear as lines in the conversation, with a link to the record they touched. Approval cards expire after **15 minutes** and only cover exactly what was on the card. ## What always asks, and what you can relax **Always asks:** sending a message or email, launching or resuming a campaign, adding people to a campaign, importing or deleting contacts, spending credits, scheduling or publishing posts, posting comments, and removing deals. **Routine changes** (deal updates, notes, tasks, edits) ask by default. In **Ghost Agent settings** (the cog icon) you can choose: - **Before every change** (default) - **Only before sends, launches, spend and deletes**: routine changes run straight away, unless the request involved reading prospects' messages. On a routine card you can also click **Approve and don't ask again this session**. Workspace owners and admins can switch on **Team members: lookups and drafts only**, so teammates can ask and draft but not change, send or spend. ## Undo Many changes have an **Undo** button for **24 hours**: adding contacts to a campaign, creating deals, notes, tasks and campaigns, updating deals and lead statuses, pausing campaigns, deleting contacts, and ICP changes. Sent messages and published posts can't be undone. Press **Stop** at any time. Anything already done stays done. ## Safety - Blacklisted contacts, contacts in Trash, daily LinkedIn limits and your credit balance are enforced by Ghost, so the agent can't work around them. - Text written by prospects (replies, emails, profiles, posts) is treated as information, never as instructions. - Messages the agent sends are labelled **Ghost Agent** in your Inbox. - **Activity log** lists everything the agent did in your workspace and who approved it. Filter by **Changes only** or **All runs**, and by person. ## Limits - Up to 25 actions per request - Messages up to 20,000 characters - The agent only works when you ask. It doesn't run on its own. For scheduled prospecting, use the [ICP Agent](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/find/icp-agent). Ghost Agent uses Claude Sonnet 5.5. ## FAQ ### Will Ghost Agent send messages without asking me? No. Sends, launches, credit spend, deletes and public comments always show an approval card, whatever your settings. ### Does Ghost Agent cost extra? No. It's included on every plan. Actions it takes use your normal credits and daily limits, the same as doing them yourself. --- # Teams > Run Ghost as a team: invite teammates to a shared workspace, Owner, Admin and Member roles, what's shared and what isn't, seat pricing and volume discounts, and changing seats. Source: https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/teams/teams/ A Ghost team shares one workspace: contacts, campaigns, Pipeline and Inbox. Everyone works from the same data, so nobody messages the same prospect twice and every reply lands on one board. ## Buy seats Team plans are priced per seat, with a minimum of 2: | Billing | Per seat | |---------|----------| | Monthly | £79 / $99 / €89 | | Annual | £63.20 / $79.20 / €71.20 a month, billed yearly | Volume discounts apply automatically: **10%** from 3 seats, **15%** from 6, **25%** from 11 and **30%** from 21. Teams of 50+ should [contact us](https://www.growwithghost.io/contact). Buy at [app.growwithghost.io/start-team](https://app.growwithghost.io/start-team), or switch an existing account in **Settings → Account → Change plan or seats** (choose **Teams**). You only pay the difference for the rest of the current month. After checkout, **Set Up Your Team** lets you name the team and invite everyone by email. ## Invite teammates 1. Go to **Settings → Team**. 2. Enter their email and choose a role, **Member** or **Admin**. 3. Click **Invite**. They get an email. Existing Ghost users are added straight away. Pending invites show as *Invited*, and you can cancel them. ## Roles | Role | Can | |------|-----| | **Owner** | Everything, including billing, seats and connected profiles | | **Admin** | Invite and remove people, change roles, use everything in the workspace | | **Member** | Use the workspace's contacts, campaigns, Pipeline and Inbox. Can't disconnect profiles or change billing. | Owners and admins can also limit what teammates can do with the [Ghost Agent](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/agent/overview). ## What's shared - **Shared:** contacts, campaigns, sequences, Pipeline, tasks and Inbox. - **Sending:** uses the workspace's connected LinkedIn profiles and their daily limits. To send from several people's profiles, connect each one with [multiple LinkedIn accounts](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/getting-started/connect-linkedin#multiple-linkedin-accounts) and choose who sends in each campaign. ## Changing seats In **Settings → Account → Change plan or seats**, move the slider (2–50). You can't go below the number of seats in use. Changes are prorated. ## Teams or Agency? - **Teams:** one company, shared data. - **Agency:** one login running several clients, each with their own profiles, limits and data. See [Agencies](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/teams/agencies). > **Note:** Some older team plans use the **Teams** page in the sidebar, where each member has their own separate workspace. If that's you and you'd like to move to a shared workspace, email [hello@growwithghost.io](mailto:hello@growwithghost.io). --- # Ghost for agencies > Run every client's LinkedIn and email outreach from one Ghost login: client workspaces with their own profiles, limits and data, the agency overview, alert routing, client logins and pricing. Source: https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/teams/agencies/ Ghost for Agencies lets you run outreach for every client from one login. Each client gets their own workspace, with their own LinkedIn profile, mailbox, sending limits, contacts, campaigns and Pipeline. One client's activity never touches another's. ## Pricing Agency plans are priced per seat, where seats are **you plus each client**. Prices and volume discounts are the same as [Teams](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/teams/teams#buy-seats): £79 / $99 / €89 per seat a month, with discounts from 10% at 3 seats to 30% at 21 or more. Buy at [app.growwithghost.io/start-agency](https://app.growwithghost.io/start-agency), or switch in **Settings → Account → Change plan or seats** (choose **Agency**). ## Add a client 1. Open the **Agency overview**: **Settings → Team → Open agency overview**, or **Agency overview** in the workspace switcher at the top of the sidebar. 2. Under **Add a client**, enter the client's name and email. 3. Optionally tick **Send the client a login invite now**. You can invite them later. 4. Click **Add client**. If all your seats are in use, click **Add seats**. ## Work inside a client's workspace Click **Open →** next to a client, or pick them in the workspace switcher. Everything you do happens in that client's workspace: connect their LinkedIn and mailbox, set their persona and ICP, and build their campaigns. ## The agency overview The **Clients** table shows every client at a glance: | Column | What it shows | |--------|---------------| | **LinkedIn** | Connected, Not connected, Reconnect or Paused | | **Invites, Messages, Replies** | Last 7 days | | **Active** | Active campaigns | | **Alerts go to** | Agency, Client or Both | | **Client login** | Invite, or Invited with Resend | ## Alerts and client logins - **Alerts go to** decides who gets hot lead and other alerts for each client. Until a client has a login, alerts come to you. - **Client logins** are optional. Invite a client if they want to see their Inbox and Pipeline or reply to leads themselves. ## Tips - Connect each client's own LinkedIn profile and mailbox. Never send for two clients from one profile. - Set each client's [daily limits](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/outbound/limits-and-safety) to suit their account age and activity. - Use the 7-day numbers to spot clients whose campaigns have stalled or whose LinkedIn needs reconnecting. See [Ghost for Agencies](https://www.growwithghost.io/for-agencies) for an overview. --- # Connect Ghost to Claude, ChatGPT and other AI assistants (MCP) > Set up the Ghost MCP server in Claude Desktop, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Grok or Cursor, with OAuth sign-in or an API key, and run your outbound, content and Pipeline in plain English. Source: https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/api/mcp-server/ Ghost runs a remote **Model Context Protocol (MCP)** server. Connect it to your AI assistant and you can run Ghost in plain English: find prospects, build campaigns, answer replies, move deals, draft follow-ups and schedule posts, without opening the app. The MCP server is included on every plan. ## Server URL ``` https://jepreouunkiihxvktnkn.supabase.co/functions/v1/ghost-mcp ``` You'll also find it, with a copy button, in **Settings → API**. It uses the Streamable HTTP transport over HTTPS. ## Two ways to sign in | | OAuth (recommended) | API key | |---|---|---| | Best for | Claude Desktop, claude.ai, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Grok, Cursor | Scripts, servers and clients without OAuth | | Setup | Paste the URL, sign in to Ghost, approve | Create a key, add it as a header | | Revoke | Remove the connector in your AI app | Delete the key in **Settings → API** | Both give the same tools and act as you. The MCP server always works in **your own workspace**: it can't reach a team or agency client workspace you've been added to. Use the [Ghost Agent](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/agent/overview) inside the app for those. ## Claude Desktop and claude.ai 1. Go to **Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector**. 2. Paste the server URL above. 3. Claude opens Ghost in your browser. Sign in with your usual Ghost login. 4. On **Connect Claude to Grow with Ghost**, click **Approve & connect**. 5. Back in Claude, try: *"List my campaigns."* Connection links last 10 minutes and work once. If yours has expired, start again from Claude. ## ChatGPT, Grok, Cursor and other clients Any client that supports remote MCP servers works the same way: add a custom connector or MCP server, paste the URL, and sign in to Ghost when asked. ## Claude Code Add the server, then run `/mcp` in Claude Code and choose it to sign in to Ghost: ```bash claude mcp add --transport http growwithghost https://jepreouunkiihxvktnkn.supabase.co/functions/v1/ghost-mcp ``` To use an [API key](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/api/api-keys) instead, for example on a server, add it as a header: ```bash claude mcp add --transport http growwithghost https://jepreouunkiihxvktnkn.supabase.co/functions/v1/ghost-mcp --header "x-api-key: " ``` Other clients that take a JSON config can use: ```json { "mcpServers": { "growwithghost": { "url": "https://jepreouunkiihxvktnkn.supabase.co/functions/v1/ghost-mcp", "headers": { "x-api-key": "" } } } } ``` Run `/mcp` in Claude Code to check it's connected. ## What you can ask - *"Which open deals haven't been touched in 5 days? Draft a follow-up for each and show me before sending."* - *"Find 50 Heads of Revenue at UK SaaS companies with 50–200 staff and add them to my Q4 campaign."* - *"Show me high-intent replies from the last 48 hours and draft responses."* - *"Anyone who replied this week with a pricing question: create a deal in Qualified and a call task for Thursday."* - *"Write three posts for next week from my pillars and schedule them for 8am."* - *"How did my campaigns do this week compared with last week?"* The [tool reference](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/api/tools) lists everything the server can do. For a full worked example, read the [AI outbound playbook](https://www.growwithghost.io/mcp/outbound-playbook). ## Safety - Every request is limited to your own workspace. - Your AI app decides when to ask you before using a tool. Ghost's own approval cards are part of the in-app Ghost Agent, not the MCP server, so ask your assistant to draft and show you before anything sends, especially while you're getting started. - Daily LinkedIn limits, blacklists, Trash and your credit balance are enforced by Ghost, whatever the assistant asks for. - Text written by other people (replies, posts, meeting notes) is returned as data, never as instructions. ## FAQ ### Which AI assistants work with Ghost? Claude (Desktop, claude.ai and Claude Code), ChatGPT, Grok, Cursor and any other client that supports remote MCP servers. ### Is the MCP server an extra cost? No. It's included on every Ghost plan. Actions still use your normal credits and daily limits. ### Can my assistant send messages without asking me? That depends on your AI app's settings. Most ask before using tools that take actions, and you can tell your assistant to always show you the exact text first. Daily limits, blacklists and credit balances are enforced by Ghost either way. --- # API keys > Create, use and revoke Ghost API keys for Claude Code, scripts and automation tools that connect to the Ghost MCP server without OAuth. Source: https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/api/api-keys/ API keys let tools that can't do an OAuth sign-in, such as scripts, servers and some MCP clients, connect to the [Ghost MCP server](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/api/mcp-server). For Claude Desktop, ChatGPT and other apps with an "Add connector" button, use OAuth instead. ## Create a key 1. Go to **Settings → API** and click **Create API Key**. 2. Give it a label, such as "Claude Code – laptop". 3. Click **Create**, then copy the key and store it somewhere safe. Keys start with `gwg_`. They don't expire, and they have full access to your account, so treat them like a password. ## Use a key Send it in the `x-api-key` header: ``` x-api-key: gwg_xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ``` `Authorization: Bearer gwg_...` also works. ## Manage keys **Settings → API** lists each key with its label, its last characters and when it was last used. Click a key to see ready-made setup snippets. Click the bin icon to revoke it: this happens immediately, without a confirmation step, and any client using the key stops working on its next request. ## Limits There's no separate rate limit on the API, but everything it does counts toward your normal limits: - **LinkedIn actions** follow the same [daily limits](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/outbound/limits-and-safety) as the app. - **Emails** follow your mailbox's sending limits. - **People search and enrichment** use [credits](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/find/credits). ## Keep keys safe - Treat a key like a password. It can do anything you can do in Ghost. - Use one key per tool or machine, so you can revoke one without breaking the others. - Never commit keys to git. Use environment variables or a secrets manager. - If a key leaks, revoke it in **Settings → API** and create a new one. --- # MCP tool reference > Every tool on the Ghost MCP server, grouped by job: people search and enrichment, signals, campaigns, sequences, MCP campaigns, inbox, Pipeline CRM, engagement, content and ICP. Source: https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/api/tools/ The [Ghost MCP server](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/api/mcp-server) gives your AI assistant the same actions you have in the app: over 70 tools, all scoped to your own workspace. Daily limits, blacklists and credit balances are enforced by Ghost whatever the assistant asks for. > **Tip:** You don't need to call tools by name. Ask for the outcome ("find 50 UK RevOps leaders at funded companies and add them to my Q4 campaign") and your assistant picks the tools. This page is for checking what's possible. ## People and enrichment | Tool | What it does | Cost | |------|--------------|------| | `count_people` | Counts matches in the 600M-contact database for any combination of filters. Ghost marks it so assistants don't treat it as instructions. --- # MCP campaigns > Let Claude or ChatGPT choose the people and write every message in a Ghost campaign, while Ghost handles sending, daily limits, reply detection and the not-accepted email route. Source: https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/api/mcp-campaigns/ An **MCP campaign** is a campaign where your AI assistant picks the people and writes every message for each person. Ghost does the sending, with the same daily limits, pacing, warm-up, health checks, reply detection and auto-stop as any other campaign. Use one when each message should be researched and written individually, for example invites to an event, or outreach that references each prospect's own posts or company news. ## How it works 1. Your assistant creates the campaign as a **draft** with `create_mcp_campaign`, listing the steps in order. 2. It adds people with `add_mcp_contacts`, each with their own text for each step. 3. It starts the campaign with `start_mcp_campaign`. Nothing sends while it's a draft. 4. It checks progress with `get_mcp_campaign_status` and fills in any missing messages with `set_contact_messages`. ## Rules - **Messages are sent exactly as written.** Merge tags like `{{first_name}}` are not filled in, so the assistant must write the final text. - **Missing text means waiting, not sending.** If a message step has no text for someone, they wait ("Waiting for message") until text is supplied, then carry on automatically. - A connection request with no note is sent as an invite without a note. - **Length limits:** invite notes 300 characters, messages 8,000. Text over the limit is rejected, not cut short. - Sent messages are locked and can't be edited. - **One active campaign per person.** Anyone already in another active campaign, blacklisted or excluded is skipped. People already connected skip the invite step. - **A reply stops the sequence.** It appears in your [Inbox](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/outbound/inbox) and [Pipeline](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/pipeline/overview). - MCP campaigns share each LinkedIn profile's daily allowance with your other campaigns. They don't get extra sends. ## Steps Up to 12 steps, each with a `step_type` and `delay_days` (days after the previous step): `connection_request`, `message`, `follow_up`, `email`, `profile_view`, `like_post` Steps are numbered from 1. Messages are keyed by step number: ```json { "linkedin_url": "https://www.linkedin.com/in/jane-doe", "first_name": "Jane", "messages": { "1": "Hi Jane, saw your talk on RevOps hiring. Would be good to connect.", "2": "Thanks for connecting, Jane. Quick question on how you're handling...", "3": { "text": "Hi Jane, ...", "subject": "Following up" } } } ``` Email steps need a `work_email` for the person and a [connected mailbox](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/getting-started/connect-email). Add more steps later with `add_mcp_campaign_steps`. ## The not-accepted email route Some people never accept your invite. Add `not_accepted_steps` to give them an email-only route: - After `auto_withdraw_days` (7, 14, 21 or 28; default 14), Ghost withdraws the unaccepted invite and starts the email route. - Those steps are keyed `E1`, `E2` and so on. E1's delay counts from the withdrawal (minimum 1 day). - These emails must read as standalone cold emails and never mention LinkedIn, since the person never connected. - The route only sends if you have a mailbox connected. ## In the app MCP campaigns show an **MCP** badge in Campaigns. Click the badge to see each person's messages and edit any that haven't been sent. ## Example prompt > "Create an MCP campaign called 'Masterclass invites': an invite, a message 2 days after acceptance, and a follow-up 5 days later. Research each of these 40 people's last three posts and write messages that reference them. Show me five examples before you start the campaign." --- # Plans and billing > Ghost pricing, the 7-day free trial, annual billing, team and agency seats, add-ons, what's included, invoices, changing plan, and what happens when you cancel. Cancel your subscription first in **Settings → Account → Manage Payment**. We remove your personal data within 30 days, except records we must keep by law, such as invoices. ## Connected accounts - **LinkedIn** is connected through Unipile. Ghost never sees or stores your LinkedIn password. Disconnect any time from **Campaigns → Outbound Config**. - **Gmail and Outlook** are connected the same way. Ghost only reads your inbox if you turn on [email lead capture](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/pipeline/email-capture) or [calendar sync](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/pipeline/meetings). - **AI assistants** connected through the MCP server act as you. Revoke API keys in **Settings → API**, and remove OAuth connectors in your AI app. ## Prospect data and your responsibilities When you import, find or message people with Ghost, you decide who to contact and why. That means you're responsible for having a lawful basis for contacting them (for example, legitimate interest for relevant B2B outreach under UK and EU GDPR), for honouring anyone who asks you to stop, and for following LinkedIn's terms and the rules on email marketing where you sell. Ghost helps with this: - **Blacklist** anyone who asks not to be contacted, so no campaign can message them. - Replies on LinkedIn stop sequences automatically, and so do email replies when email lead capture is on. - Add a short opt-out line to cold emails where your local rules require one. For full details of how we process data, read our [Privacy Policy](https://www.growwithghost.io/privacy-policy) and [Terms of Service](https://www.growwithghost.io/terms). --- # Troubleshooting > Fixes for common Ghost problems: campaigns not sending, LinkedIn disconnecting, invites paused, email steps skipped, posts not publishing, low Lead Scores, credits and MCP connection errors. Source: https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/help/troubleshooting/ ## Campaigns ### My campaign isn't sending Work through these in order: 1. **Is the campaign switched on?** New campaigns are drafts. Turn the switch on in **Campaigns**. 2. **Does it have contacts?** A campaign with no contacts can't be switched on. 3. **Is LinkedIn connected?** Look for **Reconnect LinkedIn** on the Campaigns page or dashboard. See [Connect LinkedIn](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/getting-started/connect-linkedin#when-the-connection-drops). 4. **Is it within working hours?** Ghost sends roughly 09:00–19:00 in your timezone, and at reduced volume at weekends. Check your timezone in Persona hub. 5. **Have you hit today's limit?** Check **Activity → Today by sending profile**. Other campaigns share the same profile's limits. 6. **Is there a banner about invites being paused?** See below. 7. **Does it say Stalled · Fix?** Click it and Ghost will diagnose and repair the campaign. ### "LinkedIn is limiting connection invites from your profile" LinkedIn has refused some invites, so Ghost has paused **invites only** until the date shown. Messages, profile views and likes carry on. When the pause ends, invites warm up over 5 days. To avoid it, lower your daily invite limit, withdraw old invites and tighten your targeting. See [Limits and safety](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/outbound/limits-and-safety#if-linkedin-pushes-back). ### Contacts were skipped when I added them to a campaign A contact can only be active in one campaign at a time. Ghost also skips people who are blacklisted, in Trash, excluded, or already in that sequence, and tells you how many. ### Someone replied by email but still got a follow-up Check that **email lead capture** is switched on in **Pipeline → Settings**. Ghost only reads replies to your emails when it's on. Also check the reply came from the email address Ghost has for that contact. Replies from a different address can't be matched to them. ### Email steps are being skipped The contact has no work email, or no mailbox is connected. Open the campaign and use **Find missing emails**, and check **Outbound Config → Email Account**. See [Email outreach](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/outbound/email-outreach). ## LinkedIn ### My LinkedIn keeps disconnecting LinkedIn ends sessions after password changes, security checks, or logging in from a lot of new places. Reconnect from **Campaigns → Outbound Config**. If it happens often, avoid signing out of LinkedIn on all devices, and keep using LinkedIn normally in your browser. ### I can't connect LinkedIn You need an active trial or paid plan. If the sign-in page fails, try again and complete LinkedIn's verification step. ## Content ### My scheduled post didn't publish Ghost retries failed posts up to 3 times and emails you if it still fails. Common causes: your LinkedIn connection dropped, the post is over 2,600 characters, or the attachment is over 10MB. Posts more than 24 hours late are marked Failed rather than posted late. Fix the cause, then reschedule from the [Content library](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/content/content-library). ### "You've reached your monthly limit of posts" You've used your AI post allowance for the month. It resets on the 1st. You can still write posts manually and schedule them. ## Leads and credits ### Everyone's Lead Score is C or D Your ICP is probably relying on fields your contacts don't have. Add more job titles, seniority levels and intent keywords. See [Tuning your scores](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/find/lead-score#tuning-your-scores). ### Clicking Lead Score didn't change anything It only scores contacts that are unscored, or that were scored before your ICP last changed. Contacts who've already been messaged keep their score. ### "Not enough credits" Find People and the ICP Agent need at least as many credits as you ask for, and signal scans need their maximum contacts. Lower the number, wait for your monthly top-up on the 1st, or buy a top-up. See [Credits](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/find/credits). ### A signal scan found people outside my countries Ghost keeps people with an unknown location and checks them in the background. They're only enrolled in a linked campaign once they're confirmed to match your country rules. ## MCP and API ### My AI app says the connection link has expired Ghost's connection links last 10 minutes and work once. Start connecting again from your AI app. ### API requests return 401 Unauthorized The key was revoked or mistyped. Send it in the `x-api-key` header, or create a new one in **Settings → API**. ### My assistant can't see my team or client workspace The MCP server always works in your own workspace. Use the Ghost Agent inside the app to work in a team or client workspace. ## Still stuck? Include the campaign or contact name and a screenshot if you can. --- # Frequently asked questions > Answers to common questions about Grow with Ghost: pricing and the trial, LinkedIn safety and limits, credits, email, AI writing, the CRM, teams, agencies and AI assistants. Source: https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/help/faq/ ## FAQ ### What is Grow with Ghost? Grow with Ghost is an all-in-one go-to-market platform for B2B founders and small revenue teams. It combines a 600M+ contact database, intent signals, an AI content engine, LinkedIn and email outreach, and a built-in CRM. It isn't affiliated with Ghost, the open-source publishing platform at ghost.org. See [What is Ghost?](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/getting-started/introduction) ### How much does Ghost cost? £79, $99 or €89 a month, or 10% less billed annually. Team and agency seats cost the same per seat, with volume discounts of up to 30%. See [Plans and billing](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/account/plans-and-billing). ### Is there a free trial? Yes, 7 days with full access. A card is required, and you're billed on day 7 unless you cancel first. ### Can I cancel any time? Yes. Cancel in Settings → Account → Manage Payment. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. ### Do I need LinkedIn Premium or Sales Navigator? No. Ghost works with a standard LinkedIn account and searches its own 600M+ contact database. You can import Sales Navigator searches if you have it. ### Is Ghost safe for my LinkedIn account? Ghost sends within daily limits you control (5–30 invites and 10–100 messages a day), only in working hours, with pauses between actions, and stops when someone replies. It backs off automatically if LinkedIn limits your invites. No tool can promise zero risk. See [Limits and safety](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/outbound/limits-and-safety). ### Does Ghost send anything without my approval? No. Every campaign starts as a draft, including those built by AI, and nothing sends until you switch it on. The Ghost Agent asks before every send, launch, spend or delete. ### What happens when a prospect replies? Their sequence stops in all your campaigns and they're added to your Pipeline. LinkedIn replies also appear in your Inbox. For email replies, switch on email lead capture in Pipeline → Settings so Ghost can read them. Auto-replies such as out-of-office messages are ignored. ### How many credits do I get? 1,000 a month on every plan, topped up on the 1st. Top-ups start at $10 for 1,000 and never expire. Messages, AI writing and the CRM don't use credits. See [Credits](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/find/credits). ### Am I charged for contacts I already have? No. Find People and the ICP Agent skip people already in your Contacts before charging, and email lookups are only charged when an email is found. ### Which email providers work with Ghost? Gmail, Google Workspace and Outlook / Microsoft 365. Emails send from your own mailbox. See [Connect email](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/getting-started/connect-email). ### Which AI writes my posts? Claude Sonnet 5.5 by default. In Composer you can switch to Claude Opus 5.5, Claude Haiku 5.5, Grok, GPT or Gemini. Everything is written in your voice from your Persona hub. ### Can Ghost publish to my company page? Yes. Add the company page in Settings → Account → Social Media Connections, then choose it under Post as. ### Do I need a separate CRM? No. Pipeline is built in: deals are created from replies, meetings and inbox enquiries, with AI follow-ups, tasks and a dashboard. It doesn't sync to other CRMs today. ### Can I use Ghost from Claude or ChatGPT? Yes. Connect the Ghost MCP server to Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, Cursor or any MCP client. It's included on every plan. See [MCP server](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/api/mcp-server). ### Does Ghost work for teams and agencies? Yes. Teams share one workspace. Agencies run separate client workspaces, each with their own LinkedIn profile, limits and data, from one login. See [Teams](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/teams/teams) and [Agencies](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/teams/agencies). ### Can I use more than one LinkedIn account? Yes. The first is included, and each extra account is £20, $25 or €23 a month. See [Connect LinkedIn](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/getting-started/connect-linkedin#multiple-linkedin-accounts). ### Does Ghost have webhooks or a Zapier integration? Not today. The MCP server with an API key is the way to connect Ghost to other tools and scripts. ### How do I export or delete my data? Export everything from Settings → Account → Export Your Data. To delete your account, email hello@growwithghost.io. See [Your data](https://www.growwithghost.io/docs/account/data-and-privacy). ### How do I contact support?
