# Credits

Credits pay for finding and enriching people. Writing posts, comments and messages, sending campaigns and using Pipeline don't use credits.

## Your allowance

- **1,000 credits every month**, on every plan.
- They're topped back up to 1,000 at midnight UTC on the 1st of each month. Unused monthly credits don't roll over.
- **Bonus credits** (top-ups you buy, or credits we add for you) don't expire. They're used only after your monthly credits run out.

## Checking your balance

The **scan credits** badge at the top of Signals, Find People and Contacts shows your balance. Click it to see your monthly and bonus credits, what you've used this month and when they reset. **Full log** opens the Credits page, which is also under **Settings → Credits**.

The **Usage log** lists every credit used or added, with the date, type, description and amount. Signal scans show two rows: the reservation, then a refund for whatever wasn't used.

## Top-ups

Click **Buy more credits** to top up. Packs are priced in US dollars:

Top-ups are added to your bonus balance and never expire.

## FAQ

### Do credits roll over?

Monthly credits don't: they're topped back up to 1,000 on the 1st. Bonus credits you buy never expire.

### Am I charged when a search finds nothing?

No. You're only charged for new contacts actually saved, and email and phone lookups are only charged when something is found.

### Do messages or AI writing use credits?

No. Credits are only for finding and enriching people.
